These recent surrenders are in need of some extra care and patience. Sadly, they were not living in the best conditions before coming to us, and the transition to shelter life has been a difficult one.
Believed to be littermates and just under 10 years old, both girls are understandably scared and unsure of their new surroundings. Lottie will usually accept gentle pets, while Lettie is still very fearful and has not been a fan of any interaction so far. We are taking things at their pace and giving them the time they need to feel safe.
Lettie and Lottie have spent their lives indoors, and our hope is to find them a suitable placement where they can continue to be safe and comfortable. If an indoor home cannot be found, we may need to consider a barn placement for their well-being. Ideally, this would be a heated barn, shop, or similar environment that offers protection from the elements and wildlife, as this would be a very different lifestyle from what they have always known.
Once they have received veterinary care and are cleaned up, they will be available for adoption. We look forward to helping these sweet senior girls find the stability, comfort, and kindness they deserve.
