A simple way to monitor risk is the Horse Heat Index:
-Temperature + Humidity = Risk Level
-130 or less → Low Risk
-131–150 → Medium Risk (allow extra breaks & cool down time)
-151–180 → High Risk (light work only)
-Over 180 → Dangerous conditions (consider giving your horse the day off)
Also severe thunderstorms will result in rescheduled lessons.
Unmounted lessons will be to fill in gaps of things each rider needs to work on from the ground, those will be held on too hot days, raining day , too muddy to ride days. Stay safe out there everyone. Hopefully next week will be better weather for riding lessons.

Yesterday was bath day for the horses since we got alot of rain over the weekend. Unfortunately I forgot before photos of them. But here are some after photos. Also new month and new season, fall aka Autumn is here. What are some things you like to do with horses in the fall?
