We are truly fortunate that this colony was able to be trapped all in one weekend to prevent the colony from growing with any additional kittens being born!
Sometimes all it takes is one concerned person to reach out and ask for help! It took me awhile… I am just one person. But with the home owner’s help… a first time trapper we made it happen! I can not tell you how amazing it is when someone steps up to assist in the trapping process. It’s not simply trapping. It’s the transport, the gas, mileage, laundry, crate and trap cleaning. So when someone takes an active role in assisting with a colony we get it done in a weekend! 5 cats trapped, one was ear tipped and released. Two were fixed at my favorite clinic, Fairchild "Feral Friends" Foundation and the other two were fixed thanks to PAWS - Pottstown Animal Wellness Services. They will return to their colony tomorrow and I will be placing some additional warm shelters on the property as well as leaving canned food to get them plump for the winter months ❣️

Our Opportunity house litter made the newspaper! Working hard to shed light on the need for everyone to work together for the common goal of decreasing pet overpopulation through TNR work!

Everyday rescue is hard but some days it is extra hard 😔 This beautiful girl was found wandering and in very poor condition. Friends brought her inside and we offered to cover her vet care. This beautiful girl was skin and bones, severely dehydrated, covered in fleas with severe congestion from upper respiratory/calici virus. Weighing in at only four pounds and not eating at all. If this was not enough she tested positive for feline leukemia. The difficult decision was made to let her go. She passed in the arms of her finder, he shed tears, her ashes will be treasured like her life should have been. I don’t doubt at some point she was a pet, maybe lost but my guess she was abandoned and endured a tough life in the short 6 months she was alive 😔
