Hi Everyone. Today was a rough day at the rescue- the kind that most don't know about or can even fathom (and we're grateful for that). Aside from the usual struggles like minor illnesses needing to be addressed and puppy arguments needing to be broken up, we were faced with the reality that the puppies that came in from North Carolina early yesterday evening were not doing well this morning. And at 6:30 a.m., we found out they had Parvo.
Today was a whirlwind- two separate vet visits, monoclonal antibody infusions administered to give them a fighting chance, medications administered, subcutaneous fluids given, syringe feedings- and sadly we still lost two of those sweet babies. They deserved better. Our staff is devastated.
But the last puppy is a fighter, and his name is Mischief Morales. He is doing ok so far, but we would love for him to be in a home where he can get more individual care than we can give him at the rescue while he recovers.
If you have extra room that you can spare for this sweet boy to rest his head please reach out. If you have dogs they must be fully vaccinated. We will provide all of the supplies needed including cleaning supplies, food, p*e pads, crate if needed, toys, etc. An approved puppy sleepover application is required, so if you haven't filled one out, please do so.
