CHRISTMAS LAYAWAYS TIME IS HERE!!!!!!!

PLEASE READ IN FULL!!!!!

Starting now, we will be allowing any bird and cage valued over $500 on layaway until December 24th. All you need is 25% deposit down and a proper cage! You may put a bird and cage on layaway together, but if you have a proper cage already it must be approved by our bird staff and it must be present at the start of the layaway. The layaway must be paid off and picked up by December 24 at 3 PM failure to do so will result in cancellation and loss of deposit. If you pick a baby that is still hand feeding that needs to stay past the 24th of Dec it still needs to be paid off by Dec 24th.
In order to keep your layaway valid you must be in to visit at least 4 times a week( you are more than welcome to do more days). We strive to provide healthy and happy birds and these birds rely on you as a new parent to handle and bond with them. Failure to visit will result in the cancellation of layaway and the loss of your deposit.
You must provide adequate enrichment( IE: toys, perches, foraging) Proper diet and water will be provided while in the store.

REPEAT AFTER ME: SEEDS ARE HEALTHY!
If you’ve ever been on a bird group, you have heard someone rattle off the myth that “seed is unhealthy” or “seed has no nutrition.” I see these claims everyday and I can tell you that, with even a 2-minute google search, you can immediately see the nutritional value in seeds. By nature, seeds have to capture and store beneficial nutrients to jumpstart plant growth, since seeds don’t yet have leaves to perform photosynthesis and generate their own energy. These storage nutrients are also packed into seeds along with other beneficial components to make seeds a vital part of the diverse whole food diet. Should your bird be on an all-seed diet? Absolutely not! But they shouldn’t be on a mostly pelleted diet either as too much of any one food item is never recommended. Diversify your bird’s diet and include a healthy mix of seeds as part of the evening meal after they’ve had fresh foods during the day. Soaking and sprouting seeds offers a different set of nutrients and is also beneficial… these should be offered along with fresh fruits and veg each morning.
