𝗪𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆! 💙🐾

.. and omgoshhhh.... how cute is he coming out of surgery?! 😄🥰🤗

Dr. Hodges was absolutely 𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 today! He spent so much time with me and made me feel much better about everything. I’m so incredibly thankful Wendel was in such great hands! 🙏🏻❤️‍🔥

He removed the growth from Wendel’s mouth, which he believes is an epulis, and the fatty lump from his chest, which he believes is a lipoma. Both are being sent to pathology to make sure there are no cancerous cells.

He’s very sleepy and a liiiiiittle wobbly, but doing well and resting at home now. I’m so glad I took the day off work to be with him through all of this and that my parents were there with me 🥹. For now, he’s curled up in his bed and fell asleep watching 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘰 𝘎𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘹𝘺 𝘔𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘦. 💙🍄

I’ll call next Thursday for his pathology results, and the following Thursday he’ll have his stitches removed from his chest.

Thank you so much to everyone who prayed for Wendel and checked in with me today. I’m so thankful to have my baby home and that he made it through it all safe and sound. 🙌🏻🐾

🫶🏻 My sweet Wendel and I went on a little adventure tonight to the car wash, pet store, and TJ Maxx 💙🐾. He got in some good car rides, lots of sniffing around, lots of hiking his little leg up to p*e on everything outside 😂, and of course, a new sea turtle toy 🐢. Then we finished off the night with a bath so he’s all clean and ready for tomorrow 🛁! I wanted him to have a little fun (... minus the bath 😉😄) before his surgery tomorrow morning 😊

He’ll be having a lump removed from inside his lower left jaw, a dental cleaning, and a fatty lump removed from his upper chest.
.. He hasn’t been under anesthesia since he was neutered as a baby. At the time, I drove from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront all the way to Richmond, Virginia just to have him neutered at a place I knew had a lot of experience with Frenchies. So needless to say, this nervous dog mom is extra nervous tonight 🥺

Hillcrest Animal Hospital has been phenomenal with Wendel, and I’m so thankful we were referred to them when we needed them last year. I’ve also done a lot of research on Dr. Hodges, who will be performing his surgery tomorrow, and I know Wendel will be in great hands. That definitely gives me some peace of mind.

He has to be there at 8:00 tomorrow morning, so my little guy needs lots of prayers 🙏🏻

So many of you prayed for him back in November when he was having problems with his neck, and God healed him. I was so scared at the time that he might be in pain and on medication indefinitely, but God answered those prayers, and Wendel made an amazing recovery! I’m so thankful for everyone who prayed for him then, and I would really appreciate those prayers again tomorrow 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

We've been through 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 together over the last decade, and I wouldn't trade a single moment. Thank you for always being my best friend 🥰, my cuddle buddy 🫂, and the little guy who's been by my side through the good times and the hard times ❤️‍🔥
