🌈 Pride Month Matters in Veterinary Medicine

This Pride Month, we celebrate and support our LGBTQ+ colleagues, friends, clients, and community members.

Veterinary medicine is a profession built on compassion, but we also know that our field faces significant mental health challenges.

Studies have shown that LGBTQ+ individuals often experience higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation due to discrimination, stigma, and lack of support.
Combined with the emotional demands of veterinary medicine, this can create an even greater burden.

At our hospital, we believe everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, valued, and safe—both in and outside the workplace.

This month and every month, let's continue to foster a profession where people can bring their authentic selves to work, support one another without judgment, and check in on those around us.

We want to take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women (and dogs!) who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve. ❤️🤍💙

A friendly ER reminder from your neighborhood veterinary emergency team: holidays tend to bring longer wait times and busier than usual nights. Between BBQ scraps, corn cobs, fireworks anxiety, and he was fine all day until…” moments— we’re here 24/7 for your pets when you need us most.

Please be patient and kind with veterinary teams this weekend as we care for the sickest and most critical patients first.

Stay safe, keep the snacks away from curious noses, and thank you for trusting us with your pets. 🐾
