What does a day in the life of an LVT really look like?

For Veterinary Technician Week, we asked our LVTs to snap a photo at the same times throughout the day. From their morning routines to the middle of a busy Furgent Care shift, we captured it all. We’re so thankful for everything our incredible LVTs do for our patients, clients, and team every single day!

Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!

This year’s theme, “Credentialed Veterinary Technicians: Endless Compassion, Expert Care; Celebrating the Soul of Veterinary Medicine,” perfectly reflects the incredible work our LVTs do every day.

From providing skilled patient care and supporting pet parents to helping keep our team moving through busy urgent-care shifts, our technicians bring knowledge, dedication, and compassion to every patient they meet.
We are so grateful for everything our Furgent Care LVTs do for our patients, our clients, and our team this week and every week.

You hand us the leash or carrier… and then what happens? 👀

When your pet comes to the back with our team, they’re in good hands, usually getting a few extra pets, cuddles, hugs, and kisses along the way. From exams and diagnostics to treatment and monitoring, our team works hard to keep them as comfortable as possible while providing the care they need.

We know being away from you can feel a little scary, so we do our best to make the treatment area feel safe, calm, and full of love. Because around here, we don’t just care for pets...we really love them.

Meet our CSRs!

They’re often the first friendly faces you see and the voices you hear when you call Furgent Care, so we thought it was time you got to know them a little better!

Happy National Fire Pup Day! 🐾🔥

Today, we’re honoring the brave dogs who serve alongside firefighters and help keep our communities safe. Your pets are family, so make sure they’re included in your household fire-safety plan, too! One tool pet owners may want to consider is the Rescue Retriever, a pet rescue alert system developed by a veteran firefighter. Its silent, strobing alert is designed to let first responders know pets may need rescuing inside the home, helping them identify the need for a pet search as quickly as possible. It even offers a crate attachment to help identify where a pet may be located.

A little preparation can make a big difference when every second counts!
