Salty Paws Chics Beach Treat your pup to the ultimate ice cream dining experience! Topping options include cookie crumbles and dehydrated turkey, rabbit, duck, chicken and beef.

Our full-service ice cream "bar"tenders will scoop and serve our doggie-safe frozen treat for them to enjoy onsite or to-go. While they are digging in, you're encouraged to take photos and selfies! For our furry friends who don't prefer cold treats, we have a large selection of baked cookies, donuts, and crunchy bites to enjoy onsite, or to-go. We offer a unique assortment of toys, chews, training treats, food, health products and calming treats to help even the most anxious pups. We encourage all of our four-legged customers to "go" outside before they enter the store and to stay on leash while inside. Our tiniest customers may be off leash if they stay in your lap, arms or cozy travel purse. There are a LOT of tempting treats, and doggos off leash can result in an expensive shopping experience! Our shop is just a one mile walk to Chesapeake Beach. Dogs are welcome to enjoy the beach during the spring, fall and winter months (before Memorial Day and after Labor Day weekend). During the summer season dogs are only permitted on the beach before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m. Leash laws apply year-round. Salty Paws ice cream is scooped to order, lactose free, dog-friendly, and made with little to no sugar. Our blueberry and pumpkin flavors are made with an easily digestible goat’s milk.

Weather Update….The nor’easter threw us for a loop. Outdoor activities at Commonwealth are cancelled today but here’s Plan B:
1-Come to Commonwealth with your pup (outside seating only) or without pup (inside) to enjoy a brat and a b**r, the oompah band and the Stein holding contest. Stop by the Salty paws table and pick up a treat for your BFF.

2-Bring your pup into Salty Paws Chics Beach (a few block down from Commonwealth) for your pup to enjoy ice cream, treats, and an indoor experience they will never forget!

We're loading up the Salty Paws ice cream & treats and heading to Commonwealth Brewing Company for BARKTOBERFEST! 🇩🇪 🐶

While the humans enjoy their Oktoberfest festivities, we'll be scooping up our limited edition FRESH Pumpkin Schnitzel doggie ice cream for all the good boys & girls! 🍦🐾

🍺 B**r for the humans (all day)
🍨 Pumpkin Schnitzel Doggie Ice cream for the pups (4-6pm)
🎶 Oktoberfest vibes for EVERYONE (all day)
🐶 And plenty of tail-wagging with the Tidewater Tubas Oompah Band (5-8pm)

So grab your lederhosen, load up your pack, and bring your favorite four-legged drinking buddy! 😂

The new school year has begun and we are excited for the Salty Paws team members who have started college! NEW HOURS start tomorrow, September 1st. We will be CLOSED Mondays* & Wednesdays. Hoping all of our students and teachers have a great school year!
