A little about her:

Jordan joins us with professional experience in the dog training industry and has completed the Master Dog Trainer Course at Tarheel Canine, covering obedience, police K9, detection, protection, and decoy work.

She brings a wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and a genuine passion for dogs. We’re confident she’ll be an incredible asset to our team, and we can’t wait for our clients to meet her!

We NEED to do better! Change in this industry starts with a paradigm shift. Cesar Milan and online dog trainers have you believing that you live with some sort of power hungry fuzzmonster but that’s further from the truth. Your dog is a social predator that yes needs to take instruction from you because it keeps them safe but most importantly they need agency too! Your dog has a voice that has been suppressed and that is why you have so many issues (that and underfulfillment).

The obedience can come later, when you bring in a new dog your first priority needs to be creating a safe learning environment with your dog, the dog should know who you are and what you do before they will feel safe enough to want to work with you.

Seriously it’s not a big deal, rain can be uncomfortable for dogs. Don’t stress them out unless it’s productive to their training or wellbeing

Everybody does it! I used to do it as well but when it comes to initiating play you might be doing it wrong, you want to make your dog feel like he’s JOINING you vs being forced to. Everyone, welcome Maddox!

Maddox struggles with possessive behaviors around people and resources like bones, and he’s not afraid to make his feelings known by lunging and attempting to bite.

We’ve already completed pre-board-and-train sessions to build rapport and lay the foundation for our relationship. Now, it’s time to get to work!

We’re going to teach Maddox how to communicate appropriately around people and resources, establish clear boundaries, and help his parents better understand his behavior. We’ll also build on their proactiveness as dog owners, giving them the tools to confidently and safely navigate the world with him.

Our goal isn’t to put a band-aid on the problem. It’s to address the underlying behaviors, improve communication, and create lasting change for the whole family.
