Boosha is a dog, when we first met, she was avoiding me, running, barking and would not settle. She was anxious and uncertain.

An hour later, she's my buddy. Walking with me, checking in with me, and overall in a calmer state of mind.

Clear, consise communication along with slow and steady wins the race.

We have more work to do, but I am excited about where we are headed.

Beagles are such happy dogs, they come with a built in smile. This is Millie, who has joined us for basic obedience, with an emphasis on recall. She is a beagle after all. 🤣

Dogs are a big part of farm life. A good, well trained dog can enhance farm living and not become another chore.

We'll be on hand again this year for this event and would love to see you and answer any questions you might have about dogs and training.

Join us for the third annual Charisma’s Landing Open House — a day to celebrate the horse, share knowledge, and connect with the equestrian community.

Not the greatest camera work, but i wanted to show how much progress this dog has made.

When Girlie arrived she was anxious about everything. Noises, movement, sounds, touch and more. Working with her anxiety, in small steps, she became more comfortable in her enviorment.

Working through her basic obedience commands, in wanted to take it to the next level. In this video, there's a construction crew and heavy equitment moving approximately 15 feet away us. With all that activity, you can see her excitement level is elevated, but works through it when I ask her to sit.

I was thrilled that she was more comfortable executing the command and less fearful of the world around her.
