A little bit of sweetness has officially entered the building 🧁

This sweet girl is just 1 year old and ready to trade shelter life for a home of her own! Muffin is a newer arrival, so we’re still uncovering all the fun little things that make her her. So far, we know she’s a toy-loving girl who knows some basic commands! 🎾💕

She’s got plenty more personality to show us, and we have a feeling there’s a whole lot of fun packed into this little girl. All Muffin needs now is a family to help her settle in, get comfy, and show us just how special she is. 🏡🐶

🚨 Courage needs a rescue! 🚨

Courage is a 92 lb Mastiff who is struggling with confidence, and shelter life is becoming increasingly difficult for him. He needs a rescue willing to give him the time, patience, and space he needs to feel safe.

Courage spent time in two foster homes, but both placements ended after just a few days. He broke out of a sturdy crate in one home and, after getting spooked in the other, managed to get out the front door. He needs a secure environment and individualized support that we simply can’t provide with our resources.

Courage is rescue only. He needs an experienced placement that understands his behaviors and can help him succeed at his own pace. He deserves a chance, and we’re hoping to find a rescue that can give him the support he needs. ❤️‍🩹

Someone tell Sir Loin that the sweater look is working for him! 🥰

This handsome 3-year-old arrived at AHS South after being found by a Good Samaritan, with a sore on his back that needed some extra care. We’ve been keeping it clean and watching it heal, and he’s been making great progress! The gauze and sweater help protect the area while he continues to recover, and we think he’s looking pretty sharp. 🐾

Sir Loin is a friendly boy who can be a little reserved at first, but he’s ready for a home where he can continue healing and get comfortable at his own pace.

He’s been doing his part here at the shelter. Now, he’s ready for his next chapter with a family of his own. ❤️

Just looking for someone to hang out with? Max says, same! 🐾❤️

Max is a little awkward, a little goofy, and 100% himself. Max has been waiting at AHS South for over 60 days, and he’s ready for his next chapter. He’s a friendly guy who enjoys car rides, has met kids and families at community events, and would love someone to spend his days with.

He has the potential to live with another dog pending a meet, but would do best in a home without cats or smaller dogs.

He just needs someone who thinks he’s pretty great exactly as he is. ❤️
