This is Meadow on her after breakfast walk this morning. She rubbed her face all over the grass and took in all the fun smells. She explored a bit longer, then made her way up the ramp to the front door. Once inside, she settled into a bed located in her favorite spot and relaxed. Productive day so far and she’s looking forward to doing it all over again after dinner. 🙂

On our walk this morning the sheep at the farm next door were congratulating him. Of course there's always one little guys who's not thrilled when he's not getting the attention.

Aunt Karen and all of her loves-
Karen was on the floor, encouraging Cotton to take a few steps in his cart. Right in front of Cotton was Archie reminding Aunt Karen that he had not had enough belly rubs yet today.
In front of Archie was Princess Granny. It’s so funny how an ordinary day in an ordinary life is gone flash and how many treasures are packed into each Aunt Karen is doing but we miss her fiercely.

Look at this handsome face. Dan has been enjoying the nice weather and loves lounging in the yard. He keeps an eye on the humans that come and go. He’s always first to greet you upon arrival, which immediately puts a smile on your face. Good boy Lt Dan. 💙💙💙

JJ is getting ready to have his visit with Dr. Knight. His teeth are nice and nasty green, his knees bother him a little bit and he is full of attitude. Seeing this picture made me smile. Dr. Knight is a force fre, fear free veterinarian. This minimizes the stress on our dogs and generally helps him to behave better with each visit then I see a picture like this and I think it’s risky. Oooh JJ!

This is Bo. He joined us in July 2015. He had advanced canine megaesophagus and end stage hip dysplasia. We were brand new as a nonprofit Hospice. The wonderful people at the Voorhees Animal Orphanage reached out to me about taking him. I asked if I could have a little time to research his disease just to make sure I could handle his unique needs. They were incredibly kind and generous. When I went to pick him up from the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, he was escorted to the car by Many volunteers. many pictures were taken. He was sent with bags of food that had his name on him, Bo had just had a bath and a brand new collar he left Voorhees Animal Orphanage with so much love.
Sadly, Bo truly was a hospice pup and he was only with us about 10 days. He was happy during that time, and when I would take Bo outside, his tail would wag so fast that grandpa would chase it. I’m sorry he wasn’t with us longer. I wish we could’ve gifted him more time just being loved.

Millie who is Aunt Claire’s bestie continues her volunteer work at Monkey’s House even after becoming blind. Millie has never been fond of many people but she is head of Aunt Claire’s security. You can’t get to Claire without going past her. It is such an honor to see one of our sickest dogs living her best life with her best person.. Go Millie!💋
