Dreams
Langston Hughes, 1902 - 1967

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen!

The Rijksmuseum in Holland had an idea:
Let's bring the art to the people and then, hopefully,
they will come to see more - at the museum.

They took one painting of Rembrandt’s from 1642,
“Guards of the Night” and brought to life the characters in it,
placed them in a busy mall and the rest you can see for yourself!

Thanks to Marie Mueller for forwarding this to me!

13 april gaat het Rijksmuseum open en komen Het melkmeisje, Jan Steen, De Nachtwacht en alle andere helden weer terug. Dit is wat er gebeurt als ze plotselin...

Butterflies love the lantanas! Great flower garden, patio plant. Drought resistant and blooms all summer and into the fall. I've seen hummingbirds on them as well!
