The red rookie finished his AKC championship under breed specialist Scott Ibbitson at Devon Dog Show on Saturday by going WD/BOW! Bruno is now Ch. Alaric Star Spangled Son, pending AKC approval. He also earned his first five grand championship points on Sunday going Select Dog at the storied Montgomery Kennel Club show under breed specialist Alison Ibbitson. He joins his litter sister, GrChS Alaric Star Spangled Sister, ROMG (Abigail) and half sister, GrChB Alaric Star Power, ROMS (Freya) as the third champion out of Ch Alaric Wish Upon A Star. (Harley) It has been an absolute pleasure to do the ring dance with these four stars who have each shined their own special light on behalf of Alaric Bull Terriers. All four earned their champion titles in the Bred By EXhibitor class. As a breeder, I am grateful for their success. As their handler, I could not have asked for more from them. My thanks to the judges who have recognized and rewarded their virtues and to my co-owners, Greg Armstrong & Lou D'Amico who have cared for them, made them a part of their families and supported their show careers.

Abigail, Portia and Aria. Mama, daughter and great granddam. It's been a fast 6.5 weeks filled with ups, downs, tears, laughter and the roller coaster of emotions rearing puppies can bring. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Portia had some fun at our neighbors' house both inside and on the deck. She is inquisitive, intrepid, affectionate, fierce and very energetic. She wore herself out after 1.5 hrs of romping.

Great grandma, Aria hanging with Portia teaching her some play moves. Look at that little one play bow!

Portia had some ground, organic oats with goat milk for her first meal from a dish. She was a good girl and lapped it up with no fuss at all. Then she nursed on mama. Her appetite is healthy and she has hit all her three week milestones. She will be listening to Mozart this afternoon.

He was WD under breed specialists, Dale Schuur & Jan Dykema for two major wins!! Thanks to the judges for rewarding Bruno's virtues. Super thanks to the club for the delicious luncheon, fabulous prizes and sticking around for 100 years for our breed.

Bruno, Alaric Star Spangled Son, and I sure had some fun! He made significant progress in his continuing ringcraft education at the Knickerbocker Bull Terrier Club supported entry with GSATC and at Bucks County KC this weekend. His enthusiasm, intelligence and joyful nature make for a willing student. He was BOV under esteemed terrier judges David Kirkland and Bruce Schwartz. He showed in his first two terrier groups and NOHS groups among some very fine terriers. He was pulled by Jan Ritchie Gladstone in terrier group at GSATC. What a thrill! He is learning quickly and gaining confidence. I could not be more proud of him. Good boy, Bruno!💕🐾

🏆🏆This is a great show weekend for terriers. The three clubs, including Trenton KC typically have a stellar judging roster. The venue, Mercer County Park, is lovely, the rings spacious and while spring in NJ can be temperamental so far, this weekend has been perfect for the dogs, if not a bit chilly for the humans. It would be great if more bull terrier exhibitors would enter and support these clubs. Sharing our wonderful dogs at all breed shows of this caliber is vital to keeping bull terriers visible in the sport. Hope to see you ringside next year!!

It is official! Abigail is now a Grand Champion Silver, finishing at the New Brunswick KC on March 20, nearly two years from the day she began her show career in the USA. Her accomplishments have been many and we are both proud and delighted with her success. Good girl, pig. 💜💜💜
