Happy Sunday everyone! We have a recent spike in requests from people asking us to come in and let their dogs out during the morning and return in the evening to put them back in the house. I am sure there are plenty of hobby sitters that would do just that and think nothing of it. But insurance aside, I'd like to say this.

For the safety, health, and well-being of your pet, we are unable to provide a service where a dog is left unattended for any length of time. Dogs require protection from potential hazards, and regular monitoring to ensure they remain safe and comfortable. Pets left unattended not only pose a risk of escaping but could potentially be exposed to heat exhaustion or stroke, freezing temperatures during winter, storms, wildlife, and any unforeseen injuries.

Our goal is to provide responsible, professional care that prioritizes your pet's welfare, which is why we recommend scheduled visits throughout the day or keeping your pet indoors between visits whenever possible. Thank you for understanding.

This is what fostering a dog looks like. Sugar was on the list for euthanasia. No one wanted this sweet girl. People don't realize that dogs don't come pre-trained right from birth. It takes work. It takes consistency. But not is it worth it. Most of us have busy schedules and little time to play with them like we'd really love to do. But your sofa or a warm bed to sleep on is way better than a cold floor at a shelter. Don't discard them. These babies are not objects to be discarded. They deserve better. This is what a chance looks like. Be a hero and adopt, don't shop. Sugar is still looking for her forever home. But there are many more like her in shelters all around you.
