It involves manually plucking the dead topcoat from the hair follicle instead of cutting it. This process encourages harsh, wiry, and vibrant new hair to grow in while keeping the coat true to its natural texture.-

Happy Saturday! I know it’s a raining day, but I hope everyone still enjoys the start of Memorial Day weekend! This is Pluto😍 it was his first time with us, he got an adorable rounded face with shorter body and longer legs. We go a little shorter on the body to make everything look proportional, like an optical illusion. His last photo you can see his before!

Chewie is also a Pomeranian that gets a Full Luxury Haircut. At Coco Clips we NEVER use clippers on a double coat dog or do shave downs on these types. Chewie is hand scissored all over to create the iconic Boo cut while keeping his coat healthy and happy. It speaks to the talent of the groomers at Coco Clips to create moving art❤️ -

This is Bokkie the Pomeranian. Bokkie was taken to a different groomer that had shaved him. When shaving a double coat dog you risk the hair never growing back correctly again. We are starting the process of using moisturizing shampoo, corrective conditioning masks and very careful brushing to restore his coat. Coco Clips will get him back to his former glory to the best of our ability!-

These two are Frida(left) and Louie(right) the Brussel Griffons. We like to call them the Brussel SPROUTS! 🌱 Frida has cropped ears, but her mother let us know that she isn’t a huge fan of the cropped look. Since Frida’s ears are so small, we aren’t able to do too much with them. Even though they are small, I believe we were able to achieve a new cute look that her mom will like and remaining safe in such a delicate area.

Meet Uki, he is a large husky who’s seasonal coat was changing. Typically in the spring dogs with coat types like Uki go through a massive shed and the undercoat can get impacted. Uki got our deshed package which includes: extra brushing before bath, during and after bath. Deshedding shampoo and conditioner, proper drying techniques, nail grinding, teeth and ear cleaning. You can see we got almost a whole dog’s worth of hair off of him pre bath! That wasn’t even the most of it❤️❤️ You’ll be able to see Uki’s before and after photos, he left lighter and shinier than ever🥰✨

Meet Coconut and her big sister Cali! Coconut is a cavapoo who has some skin sensitivity, so we wash her in an anti-itch shampoo and conditioner. That way she always leaves Coco Clips feeling as good as she looks! Cali is a Bernadoodle with a Teddy Bear cut with beautiful long lashes❤️❤️❤️ SWIPE to see their individual headshots😍
