So one question I get goes like this, “Doc I’ve gotta lame bull/cow I need you to come look at. When can you come out?” My response is typically that I very rarely can “fix” a lameness with one visit so I need them in clinic for proper care. Here’s a typical example. This bull after much investigation was discovered to have a sub solar hoof abscess that needed hoof sole excision. A wooden block is then adhered to the good claw to elevate the affected claw and allow healing. This process with bandages and aftercare can take 2-4 weeks, with a great prognosis. The last pic is what it looks like after the first bandage change.
Secondly…public school is out for summer break so “Life” School has started for my daughters. We started them off with BSE’s.
