💔🐾 URGENT: Medical Foster Needed for Sweet Maple Through Victoria County Animal Services 🐾💔

A few days ago, Maple’s world changed when she suffered a broken leg. Thankfully, she received veterinary care, and her leg was reset and placed in a splint. Now begins the long road to healing.

Maple is currently in the care of Victoria County Animal Services, and she desperately needs a medical foster home where she can recover for the next 8 weeks. While VCAS works tirelessly to care for the many animals that come through their doors, they are facing the same challenges shelters across the country are experiencing—limited staff, limited resources, and far more animals in need than available homes.

We have reached out to several rescue partners on Maple’s behalf and are praying one will be able to step forward. However, at this time, we have not received a confirmed rescue hold, which makes finding a foster home even more urgent.

This precious girl weighs only about 25 pounds and needs something that no shelter can fully provide—a quiet place to rest, heal, and feel safe. She needs a loving home where she can recover comfortably while receiving patience, encouragement, and lots of love. ❤️

Imagine being scared, injured, and unsure of what comes next. That’s where Maple is right now. She has been through enough, and everyone would love to see her spend her recovery surrounded by comfort instead of kennel walls.

A foster home could make all the difference in Maple’s healing journey. Whether you’re able to foster or simply share her story, you could be the reason she gets the second chance she deserves.

🐾 We also want to ask our community to rally behind Victoria County Animal Services. Their staff shows up every day for the animals, often under difficult circumstances, and they need our help.

VCAS urgently needs:

❤️ Foster homes
❤️ Adopters
❤️ Volunteers
❤️ Rescue partners
❤️ Community advocates

Even if you only have an hour a week, an hour a month, or a few moments to share a post, you can make a difference. Every share, every volunteer, every foster home, and every adoption helps save lives.

The animals at VCAS cannot advocate for themselves. They rely on all of us to be their voice 🙏

📍 Victoria County Animal Services

If you can foster Maple, know someone who can, or would like more information, please contact VCAS immediately.

Please share, share, share. Let’s show Maple—and every animal waiting at VCAS—that they are not forgotten. We are praying the perfect foster, rescue partner, or adopter steps forward and that this sweet girl’s next chapter is filled with healing, comfort, and love. 🙏🐾❤️

🐾❤️ KING UPDATE ❤️🐾
We are excited to share that King will be making transport to Ohio this Thursday! 🙌

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, and supported him throughout his journey. Because of your kindness and an amazing rescue partner, this sweet boy is getting the fresh start he deserves.

Please keep King in your prayers as he travels and begins this new chapter. His best days are ahead of him! 🐾👑❤️

🐾💜 HELP KING GET HIS SECOND CHANCE! 💜🐾

We have some exciting news for King! 🙌

This handsome Doberman has an opportunity to travel to Ohio THIS THURSDAY to an amazing rescue partner we have worked with for nearly four years. After spending months living in an outdoor kennel, God opened a door for King, and we couldn’t be more grateful. ❤️

We picked King up last week, and now we have the chance to help him start the next chapter of his life—but we need your help to make it happen.

🚨 We still need to raise $250 towards King’s overall transport.

⏰ The transportation fee must be paid by this evening.

We meant to share this update sooner, but we have been dealing with flooding issues today and have been extremely busy. 🥺

King has waited long enough. He deserves a warm bed, a loving family, and a future filled with hope. This transport could change his life forever.

If you can help, no donation is too small. Whether it’s $5, $10, $20, or simply sharing this post, every act of kindness brings King one step closer to his new beginning.

🙏 Please help us get King to Ohio and give him the fresh start he deserves.

If you’re looking for a dignified, serious dog… keep scrolling!

I’m R***r, a 2-year-old professional goofball who believes personal space is just a suggestion. I’m a “tripod” (three legs), but don’t let that fool you—I can still out-run any four-legged pup on the block!

Okay…that’s enough of me sharing how pawesome I am! Let’s turn it over to my foster Pawrents who seem to know me pretty well.

Yes, you heard R***r right—he is an amazing kiddo. He is the kind of dog who looks at you with pure adoration. He is charming, affectionate, and deeply connected to his humans. While he navigates the world on three legs, his heart is big enough for four.

R***r is the ultimate goofball who specializes in sloppy kisses and professional-level cuddling. If you choose him, prepare for a bath—he will happily shower you in affection. He lives for snuggle sessions and has a “cuteness overload” factor that is completely off the charts. He doesn’t let being a tripod slow him down; he simply sees it as one less paw to get in the way of his zoomies.

This handsome boy is a literal sunshine machine, always sporting a massive smile and radiating pure joy wherever he goes. If happiness were a dog, it would be R***r.

R***r absolutely loves going on walks, exploring the outdoors, and playing in the yard. With only three legs, he keeps up just fine and enjoys every adventure life has to offer.

He’s definitely more of a ladies’ man. R***r carries himself with confidence and charm, and his foster family always jokes that he looks like he should be wearing a tuxedo on his way to an important business meeting. He has that distinguished, handsome look that makes everyone smile.

This sweet boy is house-trained, potty-trained, and has wonderful manners in the home. He gets along well with his foster fur siblings and enjoys being part of the pack. While he may act like a tough guy at first, underneath that serious business-dog exterior is a goofy, affectionate sweetheart who loves his people deeply.

When R***r looks into your eyes, it’s impossible not to feel the depth of his love. There is something truly special about the way he connects with people. His gaze is gentle, soulful, and full of trust—as if he’s telling you everything his heart wants to say without making a sound. You can see the gratitude, loyalty, and unconditional love he has to give. R***r doesn’t just look at you; he sees you. He forms deep bonds with his people and expresses his affection through every loving glance, happy tail wag, and goofy smile. The connection he creates is the kind that stays with you forever 💙🐾

While he has one of the greatest spirits you’ll ever encounter, R***r is looking for a home without feline friends—he’s just a little too interested in what the cats are doing.

He needs a family that appreciates a pup who wants to be right by their side, offering constant smiles, kisses, and unwavering loyalty. Oh, and he also enjoys a good massage after a busy day of being a tripod superstar.

R***r is the perfect mix of gentleman, goofball, and loyal best friend. He’ll happily join you for a walk, play in the yard, greet you with excitement when you come home, and then curl up beside you to soak up all the love and attention he can get.

If you’re ready to bring R***r “Rugeeee” home, please click the link below to start the approval process. This kiddo has waited 9 months for a family of his own, and if you made it all the way through his bio, we promise he is everything and more.

Let’s find R***r the forever family he deserves ❤️

🌸💕 EXCUSE ME… I THINK THERE HAS BEEN A MISTAKE. 💕🌸

Hi! My name is Chiquita, and according to my calculations, I should have been adopted by now.

I mean…

I’m adorable.
I’m tiny.
I’m always smiling.
I love everyone.
I give world-class snuggles.

And when I get excited, I twirl around like a tiny Chihuahua ballerina who just heard her favorite song. 💃✨

So what exactly is taking so long?

You see, all of my siblings have already left. Some found foster homes! Some were adopted! Some left with rescue partners!

One by one, I watched them pack their imaginary suitcases and head off to their new adventures.

And every time, I thought:

“YAY! It’s finally my turn!”
But then the door would close.
And I’d still be here.
Waiting.

Don’t get me wrong—I still wake up happy every day.

I still greet everyone with a smile.
I still do my little twirls.
I still believe my family is coming.

At only 7 pounds, I’m basically the perfect portable best friend.

Need someone to binge-watch TV with? I’m your girl.

Need a tiny shadow? I can do that.

Need emotional support while you raid the refrigerator at midnight? I’ll gladly supervise.

Need someone to remind you every single day how loved you are? That’s actually my specialty.

Paws4Christ says my heart is much bigger than my body.

And they’re probably right.

Because even after being left behind while everyone else found their homes, I still love with my whole heart.

I still believe my person is out there.

Maybe they’re reading this right now.

Maybe they’re wondering where their perfect little companion is.

Well…

✨ I’M RIGHT HERE. ✨

🌸 Chihuahua
🌸 7 Pounds
🌸 Dog Friendly
🌸 People Friendly
🌸 Professional Lap Warmer

All I want is a family to love, a lap to curl up in, and a place to finally call home.

After watching everyone else leave…

When will it be my turn? ❤️

🐾💜 A LITTLE UPDATE FROM PAWS4CHRIST 💜🐾

First, I want to apologize for the delayed update. Yesterday was a very big day. While sweet Sassy was undergoing her life-changing surgery, I was also in Houston having surgery myself.

We have received a high volume of calls, messages, and emails for stray animals, owner surrenders and so much more, and we have not yet been able to respond to everyone 💔 Please bare with us over the next few days as we catch up. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and prayers. 🙏

💗 Now for the update on Sassy 💗

Just 24 hours after having her leg amputated, this incredible girl is already up and walking. Watching her move around without dragging her injured leg and seeing the relief on her face has brought tears to our eyes. For months, she carried the burden of an old injury that left her with wounds, and more than likely discomfort. This baby girl has a fresh start. She may have lost a leg, but she gained a future.

Sassy is currently recovering with her wonderful foster family, who have welcomed her into their home with open arms. They are giving her all the love, attention, comfort, and patience she deserves. Looking at the photos of Kristin’s daughter loving on Sassy reminds us exactly why we do this. There is something so beautiful about seeing a child show such compassion and kindness to an animal who has endured so much. Sassy is finally getting to experience what it feels like to be part of a loving family, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

We also welcomed another rescue yesterday. This poor pup has been roaming the streets for months, terrified, matted, and unsure of people. After many failed attempts, one of our directors was finally able to get him safely secured. While one life was beginning a new chapter through surgery, another life was finally finding safety. These are the moments that remind us why rescue matters.

And speaking of blessings, we have some exciting news to share! ❤️

🐾 Toby, our sweet goofy boy who has been with us for nearly two years, will be meeting a potential forever family this Saturday! As many of you know, Toby came into rescue as a young pup and has spent far too long waiting for someone to choose him. This foster momma may shed a few tears if he leaves, but they will be tears of joy because he deserves a family of his very own—a family to love him, spoil him, and give him the forever home he has patiently waited for.

🐾 Meadow, who came to us in such heartbreaking condition and required months of recovery, healing, and care, will also be meeting a wonderful family this Saturday for a potential adoption. To see how far she has come from the scared, neglected little girl we first met is nothing short of a miracle.

🐾 And there’s more good news! We have a wonderful family who recently inquired about Bert “Bertie Boy.” They are interested in meeting him soon and potentially welcoming him into their family as well. After waiting so long for his chance, our hearts are extremely hopeful for this precious boy.

Sometimes rescue can be exhausting. There are difficult days, heartbreaking losses, and moments when the weight feels overwhelming. But then God reminds us why we keep going. He sends the right people, the right families, the right fosters, and the right opportunities exactly when they are needed most.

We are witnessing so many wonderful things happening right now, and we know it is because God has blessed this rescue beyond measure. Every life saved, every family formed, every animal healed, and every adoption is a reminder that His hand is at work in all of this.

We also want to take a moment to thank some very special people.

🥰 Thank you, Tracie, for allowing Sassy to stay with you the night before surgery and for making sure she safely arrived where she needed to be.

🫶Thank you, Kristin and your precious family, for opening your hearts and home to Sassy. We could not have asked for a better foster family.

♥️ Thank you to our family and friends who stepped in while I was away. Caring for the animals in our indoor kennel and fosters in our home is not an easy task. It means early mornings, late nights, endless cleaning, feeding, watering, laundry, scooping play yards, changing bedding, administering medications, and making sure every animal receives the love and attention they deserve. Because of you all, I was able to focus on my own surgery knowing our babies were safe and cared for. There are simply no words to express how grateful we are.

People often see the happy adoption photos, but they don’t always see the village behind every success story. The fosters, volunteers, donors, transporters, veterinarians, supporters, and prayer warriors all play a role in saving lives. Sassy’s story is proof that when a community comes together, miracles happen.

As we head into another $5 Friday, we humbly ask for your support. The needs never stop, and with so many animals depending on us, every dollar truly makes a difference.

🐾 $5 helps provide food, medications, cleaning supplies, bedding, and so much more to help these babies.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside us through the victories, the challenges, and the countless lives that depend on this rescue. Please continue praying for Sassy’s recovery, for Toby, Meadow, and Bertie as they meet potential families, and for all the animals still waiting for their own miracle.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING REHOMING ASSISTANCE ⚠️

If we are taking the time to assist you with rehoming your pet and are offering FREE microchipping as part of that process, but you refuse to have the pet microchipped, please do not contact us for rehoming assistance.

Microchipping is not about personal preference—it is about the safety and well-being of the animal.

When a dog enters a new home, whether through adoption, fostering, or rehoming, they experience a period of decompression and adjustment. Even the most well-behaved, loved, and loyal pets can become frightened, confused, or overwhelmed in an unfamiliar environment. During this transition period, dogs are significantly more likely to slip out of doors, escape fences, run off, or become lost.

A microchip is one of the most important tools available to help reunite lost pets with their families. Unlike collars and tags, which can fall off or be removed, a microchip provides permanent identification that can be scanned by veterinarians, shelters, animal control officers, and rescue organizations nationwide.

We should not have to convince anyone to do what is right, responsible, and in the best interest of their pet. When we immediately take the time to assist with rehoming, networking, and connecting your pet with a loving family, the very least we ask is that basic safety measures are followed.

Microchipping is not an inconvenience—it is a responsibility.

If a pet becomes lost during transport, foster care, an adoption trial, or after moving into a new home, a microchip may be the difference between that animal making it home safely or never being reunited with their family again.

Sadly, many lost pets that enter shelters are placed on limited stray-hold periods, sometimes as little as three days depending on local laws, shelter capacity, and available resources. If no owner can be identified and located, those pets may become at risk for euthanasia. A microchip can mean the difference between life and death by providing immediate identification and helping shelters, veterinarians, and animal control officers quickly reunite a lost pet with their family. One simple microchip can be the key to bringing a beloved pet home safely before it's too late.

As pet owners and advocates, we all share a responsibility to put the animal's welfare above personal preferences. Responsible pet ownership means taking every reasonable step to ensure a pet's safety, security, and future well-being.

Microchipping is important because:

🐾 It greatly increases the chances of a lost pet being reunited with their family.

🐾 Collars, tags, and harnesses can break, fall off, or be removed. A microchip remains with the pet for life.

🐾 It provides permanent identification in emergencies, natural disasters, accidents, or theft situations.

🐾 It helps shelters and rescues quickly identify ownership and emergency contacts.

🐾 It protects pets during foster placements, adoptions, and rehoming transitions when stress and uncertainty are highest.

🐾 It can help prevent a pet from being permanently lost or ending up in another shelter system.

🐾 It provides peace of mind for adopters, fosters, owners, and rescue organizations alike.

🐾 It demonstrates a commitment to responsible pet ownership and to the long-term safety of the animal.

For us, microchipping is a basic safety measure and a standard best practice. Refusing a free microchip raises concerns about whether the pet's long-term welfare is truly being prioritized.

Our goal is simple: Every pet deserves the best possible chance of making it home safely if they ever become lost.

🐾 The safety of the animal will always come first.

📍FOUND PUPPY – VICTORIA, TEXAS

🙏 PLEASE HELP 🙏

Message from finder:
———————————-

I found this sweet little guy running near 1807 Stolz Street. Several people told me he had been wandering the area for 3–4 days, and one person reported seeing someone push him out of a vehicle last Thursday. I cannot verify that information, but what I can say is that he was dehydrated, very thin, and clearly in need of help.

Despite everything he’s been through, he has the sweetest personality. He appears to be about 5–6 months old, intact, friendly, loving, playful, and eager for attention. He doesn’t bark much, has shown no aggression, and seems to be a happy puppy who just wants to be loved.

I brought him home because I couldn’t leave him out there, but I am in a difficult situation myself. I am a full-time caregiver for my mother, who has dementia, and I am already responsible for her five pets in addition to my own two cats and dog. While he is safe and cared for right now, I am not in a position to provide him with the long-term home he deserves.

A found pet report has been submitted to Dorothy O’Connor Pet Adoption Center, and I am hoping his owner will come forward. If no owner is found, I am urgently seeking a foster, rescue, or adopter willing to give this sweet boy a chance.

I can only keep him temporarily, up to 48 hours! Time is of the essence 😢

Please share this post. If you recognize him, know where he belongs, or can help provide a safe place for him to go, please reach out as soon as possible.

He deserves so much more than being left to fend for himself. ❤️🐾

🐾 COURTESY POST – Presa Canario Seeking an Experienced Home 🐾

💗 Meet Reba 💗

This beautiful 5-year-old female Presa Canario is looking for a home that understands and appreciates this remarkable breed. She was purchased from BearClaw Kennels in Ohio as a puppy.

The Perro de Presa Canario is a large, powerful working breed originally developed in the Canary Islands to guard livestock and property. Known for their loyalty, intelligence, and protective instincts, these dogs form deep bonds with their families and thrive with confident, experienced owners who can provide structure, training, and leadership.

This girl is deeply loved by her family, but due to her strong guardian instincts and history of conflicts with other resident animals, she would do best as the only pet in the home. She can also be protective of her home and family, so a calm, adult-only home or one without young children would be ideal.

Like many guardian breeds, she needs an owner who understands the importance of proper introductions, ongoing socialization, and consistent training. In the right environment, she has the potential to be an incredibly devoted and loyal companion.

✅ 5 years old
✅ Purebred Presa Canario
✅ Spayed
✅ Natural (uncropped) ears
✅ Loyal and devoted to her family
✅ Best as the only pet
✅ Experienced breed-savvy home required

Her family is making this difficult decision out of love and concern for her future. They want to find someone who understands the breed and can provide the safe, structured home she deserves.

Please share to help this special girl find the right match. 🐾❤️

Message us if you are interested so we can connect you with the family 🐶 (There will be a Rehoming Fee & Contract in place for Reba)
