Congratulations to our Honorable Specialist Sidney Ryder for accepting the Jacob Charles Kerr King Shepherd awards from Shepherds of Mount Eden.

Thank you Specialist Sidney Ryder for your outstanding service on behalf of the American people.

Our Honorable Specialist Sidney Ryder is a trained Sentry Dog handler trainer and started at Lackland AFB. He received a contract to build and ship his patented lifesaving K9 quick release leashes for the Department of Defense and he was presented an Appreciation Blanket for Service in The US ARMY as a Sentry Dog Handler by the ladies that quilt Veteran Memorial Blankets. He is a son of WWII Veteran and he has 2 nephews in service. One getting ready to retire from the Marines with 24 years of service and the other getting ready to retire from US NAVY serving on a nuclear submarine out of Virginia. Specialist Sidney Ryder was honored to serve and had volunteered to take K9 training after completing MP training at Fort Gordon Georgia.
He was also at Lackland at a history making time for the Army. They were under Air Force control when assigned to Fort Sam Houston Texas with the duty station with the Department of Defense.
