Rex came in today for his vaccinations and absolutely stole the show! 🐾💚

Between the treats, pets from the staff, and all the attention he could ask for, we’re pretty sure he thinks coming to CVC made for the best Friday ever! Such a handsome Labrador Retriever and the sweetest boy to have in clinic today.

And the best part? We get to see his brother, Dennis, later this afternoon! 🐶🐶

Our jobs are about so much more than the medicine, and it’s an honor to be a part of the fun!

💚 Jaden has gotten to spend a lot of time on the farm learning from his dad and papa, and watching his mom (Dr. K) care for their cattle from the very start. From seeing her breed their heifers via AI to pulling calves, he’s been chute side for it all!

🐮 Cooper bought this heifer a few months ago and got to help Dr. G palpate her and feel her large calf to confirm her pregnancy yesterday. Knowing that he gets to add his own calf to the herd is so special and he’s just getting started!

🔬 A couple of weeks ago, Lucas and Bentley helped their dad, grandpa, and uncle run bulls through the chute for breeding soundness exams. They were very excited to look in the microscope and made sure each bull passed!

We love to see the next generations become involved in their family operations. The future of agriculture is strong!

Teaching the next generation of veterinarians... one bull at a time. 🐂

Jesse has completed her first year of veterinary school at Lincoln Memorial University & you'll be seeing a lot of her around this summer as she is back to learn with us!

Today’s lesson: Breeding Soundness Exams — because there’s a lot more to bull power than just looking the part! From semen evaluation to physical exams, Jesse got hands-on experience learning how these exams help livestock producers prepare for a successful breeding season as these bulls get ready to go to pasture this weekend.

Good bulls build good herds… and good mentors help build good vets. 👏
