I know I haven't talked much about them yet here on Facebook!!!! BUT
I will be getting my first generation of Domesticated Roof Rats next month and I am getting sooo excited.

My partner in crime is currently in Florida right now picking them up :) I will be posting pictures of them as soon as I can.

11 Days old! They are looking cuter every day. i will be holding back 2 of the Agouti females and one of the Agouti males.

So far they all have been very handlable not squirmy or fearful at all. I have very high hopes for this litter.

All others will be available, $20 each, pairs or more.

Purslane is cool. This grew in a pot on my deck and I just decided one day to start watering it... and now look at it :D

EDIT: if you want to follow my youtube now, I currently have one real video on there so far :) of Lily, she's the orange rat in the drawn logo.

SOON, I will be starting a blog and YouTube videos. I want to use these new platforms to share a much deeper level of information about rats such as genetics, health, diet, habitat, etc. It will take a few days or maybe weeks to get everything going but I am looking forward to this project.

I plan to dig through books, NIH studies, personal experience, other breeders, and more.

what luck! we have 7 boys and 7 girls that have made it. Everyone is looking healthy and well fed.

I will be holding back 2-3 females and 1-2 males but the rest will be available for reservation soon :) !!

it's looking like the litter is half black half agouti with some blue agouti and american blue mixed in there.
