💙🐾 Happy Veterinary Technician Week! 🐾💙

This week, we want to take a moment to celebrate and recognize three very special members of our Victor Vet Care family: Savannah, Theresa, and Rebecca, our amazing Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs)! ❤️

Being a veterinary technician is so much more than a job. It takes compassion, patience, dedication, skill, and a whole lot of heart. From comforting nervous pets and caring for our patients when they need it most, to supporting our doctors, reassuring worried families, and handling all the little things that keep our days running smoothly, our technicians make an incredible difference every single day.

Please join us in celebrating Savannah, Theresa, and Rebecca this Veterinary Technician Week! We are so lucky to have you, and we hope you know just how valued, appreciated, and loved you are. 🩺🐾

Thank you for all that you do, today and every day! 💙

🐾 Patient Spotlight: Meet Opal!

Say hello to Opal, an adorable 14-week-old Chihuahua who came to visit us for her very first puppy visit! 🐶💗

This little girl was full of personality and very spunky! 😍 We loved getting to meet her and watch her explore and show off her big personality.

Welcome to the VVC family, Opal! We can’t wait to watch you grow! 🥰🐾

What does real socialization actually mean for your dog?

It’s not about meeting every dog or person—it’s about raising a dog who feels calm, confident, and secure in the world around them.

By focusing on positive experiences, gentle exposure, and trust-building (without forcing interactions), we set dogs up for success in every part of life—from vet visits to everyday adventures.

If you’re raising a puppy, there’s one thing we strongly recommend: prioritize socialization early and often. It truly makes a lifelong difference. 🐾

There is an area wide internet outage in Victor. Our phones are out and we have spotty internet access. We are open for appointments. Please be patient until the phone service is returned.
Thank you for you understanding 🐾

🎆 Fireworks can be frightening for pets 🐾
While we celebrate, many of our furry friends experience stress, anxiety, and even panic during loud fireworks.

This 4th of July, let’s keep our pets safe, calm, and comfortable ❤️

Here are a few simple ways to help:
✔️ Create a safe, quiet space
✔️ Use background noise to reduce sudden sounds
✔️ Keep pets indoors
✔️ Offer comfort items like blankets or toys
✔️ Exercise them earlier in the day
✔️ Reach out about calming options if needed

Planning ahead can make all the difference!
If your pet struggles with anxiety, don’t wait—reach out early for advice or medication refills.

🐶🐱 Let’s make this holiday safe for everyone in the family!
