Ouch! So this tooth is very important. He eats greenies. Whether this caused the tooth to fracture IDK. It’s a difficult tooth to remove because it must be split to remove due to 3 roots. Some people will cut it in 3 pieces. The tooth can be saved for about 2k with a root canal plus a cap. Most choose to remove it. This was done for free on Saturday. So I have hope my son’s dog breaks tooth before he drives home for me to pull! Aye!

This is why I became a vet. This is Lucy. Lucy decided to eat a hickory nut which proceeded to get stuck in her intestines Sat am. We prepped her for surgery at 1. We typically don’t do surgery Saturday but it was go spend 5k emergency center or a lot less with us. Lucy decided to flat line on me right as I was about start surgery. I yelled my two techs
to get emergency meds instructing them exactly where meds were while I gave chest compressions N breathed for her. She was flat lined. An eternity later she took a big gasp air n her heart started again. Holy cow……. Well after another few minutes and getting her stable we went ahead surgery. We had get nut out. I knew I could be speedy doing that so onward we went. Lucy is doing great as of yesterday. Happy ending!! Thank u Lindsey n Mary for helping during a very stressful surgery. I also might add last year Lindsay help me during a surgery and had sit on floor my surgery room because she almost passed out! Don’t think that wasn’t on my mind.
