Lani came to us one year ago today. She was just 4 days old when she was found in a box with her littermates. She has spent her entire life here, and we cannot for the life of us figure out why she hasn't gotten picked yet! So let's try and change that.
Lani has grown up into a taaaaaall and slender lady who cuts a striking silhouette! She loves attention and rubs, although she's not fully sold on being picked up and carried around. She's pretty fearless and she's not afraid to ask for some love! Lani's two favorite things in the world are her cat friends and bird watching. If she's not curled up in a bed with at least one other cat in it, she can usually be found perched in the windowsill chittering away at the birds and squirrels visiting the bird feeders right outside. Toys are a solid third, for when the birds are busy elsewhere.
It breaks our hearts a little, but Lani has seen several of her favorite cat friends come and go in the last year. She would really thrive in a home with another cat who also wants to cuddle (she will yell about it for a few days, then they will be her best friend in the world, that's her custom).
If you want to meet Lani, give us a call at (859) 873-5491 for an appointment!
**Update: A couple of people asked, so we tried Lani out with a staff member's dog, and she did great! She hissed once, her tail was poofy for a few minutes, but she was mostly curious and confident. This was a large dog who mostly ignored her; she might have a little more to say to a dog who was more pushy. All signs point to Lani adjusting fine to a home with dogs.
