TOMORROW'S THE BIG DAY!!! Join us at Falling Springs Park for Canine Olympics: 19 competitions for dogs from athletic to silly, local vendors, food trucks, activities for dogs and kids, and MORE! Sunday, October 18

October is month! We're proud to partner with Quantrell Subaru to help pets in need get ready to start their next chapter 🧡

Pets like Marnie! Marnie's story is awfully common: she's one of hundreds of dogs who come to us each year after being found roaming, waiting out their stray hold, and no owner ever turning up. We got her fixed, got all her shots and preventive care up to date, and now she's ready to go home.

Marnie is such a sweetheart! She's a 3 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees mix who weighs about 65 lbs. Definitely a mix, but she's got legs and dew claws for days. Marnie is a rambunctious, fun, playful lady who is definitely looking for somebody who will keep her busy with lots of adventures. But her real superpower is that she seems to enjoy literally every other dog she ever meets! Marnie has turned into something of a one-woman welcome wagon in the play yards for new dogs who want a little canine companionship. So, do you (and your dog) need an adventure buddy? Agility is a Canine Olympics classic, and your dog doesn't even have to compete to enjoy it! We wrap up the games with Agility and Beginner Obstacle Course, but Best Friends Obedience has the agility course set up all day long. Give it a try once or play all afternoon!

October is month! We're proud to partner with Quantrell Subaru to help pets in need get ready to start their next chapter 🧡

Pets like Stephen! Stephen is a pure-bred Manx cat who is about 7 1/2 years old. He came to us with 17 other Manx who all had a host of illnesses due to their previous living conditions. All 18 cats needed careful rehabilitation before they could start their next chapters, but we're delighted to say that 15 have now found their new homes! Stephen can't wait until it's his turn, too! It's CANINE OLYMPICS WEEK!!! Join us this Sunday 10/18 at Falling Springs Park for family-friendly dog-filled fun! Registration opens at noon, Blessing of the Animals at 12:30, and the Games begin with the Alumni Parade at 1:00!

We've got 19 competitions for dogs from athletic (Frisbee Catch, Straight Dash, Agility) to extremely silly (Dress Your Dog Dash, Hot Dog Splash, Halloween Costume Contest, Dog & Owner Lookalike), plus local vendors, food trucks, activities for kids and dogs, and more!

Canine Olympics is FREE to attend and spectate! For dogs who compete, the first game is $10 (includes a Canine Olympics t-shirt for their human) and $5 for each additional game. Full games list and more in the comments!

In Distance Catch, you see who can catch the treat from farthest away...or if your dog is just a straight-up treat hoover, the Rapid-Fire Cookie Toss might be more their jam! Then there's I'll Eat Anything, and the Hot Dog Splash...basically it's wall-to-wall treats at Canine Olympics 🤷 Don't take our word for it, come see for yourself!!!
