🐾 A LITTLE GROOMING REMINDER FROM WIGGLE BUTTS! 🐾

Lately, I’ve been seeing A LOT of matted dogs, especially doodles, curly-coated breeds, and double-coated breeds. So let’s talk about how often your pup should be groomed! ✂️🐶

🐩 Doodles & curly-coated breeds:
Generally, every 4–8 weeks, depending on coat type, length, and how much maintenance you’re doing at home. Regular brushing between appointments is VERY important!

🧸 Double-coated breeds:
These coats need regular brushing and deshedding to prevent packed undercoat, especially during shedding seasons. Depending on the breed and coat, professional grooming every 6–12 weeks can help keep things manageable.

🚨 Brushing at home matters!
A professional groomer can only do so much if a dog comes in severely matted. Mats can be uncomfortable, pull on the skin, trap moisture, and make grooming much more difficult for your pup.

If you can’t easily get a comb all the way through the coat, your dog is likely starting to mat.

💡 Think of grooming as maintenance, not just a haircut! Keeping up with brushing and regular appointments will help keep your pup comfortable, healthy, and looking their best. ❤️

And please remember: the longer you wait, the more difficult—and sometimes more expensive—the groom can become.

🐾 Keep those coats brushed, folks! Your groomer and your dog will thank you! ❤️
