Are you a chili WITH or WITHOUT beans kinda person?? We think no recipe would be complete without BEANS!

Meet Beans, and his recipe is 3 cups contagious happiness, 2 cups of tail wagging, a couple of tablespoons of kisses and a sprinkle of freckles. All wrapped up in a 30 lb adorable and furry burrito! Beans gets along with other pups and undoubtedly kiddos, but kitties are unknown. He's about 5 y/o -- aged to perfection! Not too old, not too young! BEANS FEES ARE WAIVED THIS WEEK until Saturday, September 5th thanks to the ASPCA ! Adopt one, help many -- that's !

We've had a busy week of adoptions with WAIVED ADOPTION FEES thanks to the ASPCA ! Lots of animals have found forever homes and joined us in ! Adopt one, help many!! Now....are you ready to meet DOOM!?

Yep, Doom is in a foster home and his adoption fees are waived this week, too!

"Don't worry, it's just me. I'm Doom, and I could be your Doom if you wanted me to be. And really, you should want me to be, I'm a pretty great kitten.

I'm a snuggly little guy, and one of my favorite places to nap is in my favorite human's lap. I like to snuggle in bed, too. I really just like to hang out with my person as they go about their day.

I love to play, too. Ping pong balls are probably my most favorite thing in the whole wide world. I really love anything that dangles, too. Hoodie strings, shoe laces, fishing pole type cat toys are so much fun! I love to wrestle with my littermates and foster siblings, so it would be pretty awesome if there was another cat for me to play with at your house.

I am pretty curious, and a little bit cautious. I like to explore, but might need some time to adjust before I'm ready to be best friends. You can move that along a little faster with some snacks, but mostly I just need some time and patience.

Ready to take me home? Put in your application and the nice people at the shelter will get my foster family to contact you so that we can meet!"

"The County of Augusta is accepting applications for the position of Kennel Attendant for the Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Animal Shelter located in Verona, Virginia. This is a public shelter owned by Augusta County and the Cities of Staunton and Waynesboro.

This positionโ€™s responsibilities include, but not limited to upholding the mission of the shelter; providing appropriate care to animals; ensures compliance with state and local regulations; ensures professionalism of staff including continuity between shelter staff, animal control officers, volunteers, advocacy groups, rescues and the public; follows approved shelter policies and procedures; ensures the facility is clean, safe and well organized and promotes education and outreach. Work performed under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

**UPDATE: CARTI & LOUIE ARE SPOKEN FOR**

CUTENESS OVERLOAD & NEW IN OUR CARE -- Meet ๐‹๐จ๐ฎ๐ข๐ž & ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข! They were JUST surrendered to us this afternoon. Now, we KNOW these babies won't last long, so go submit those apps now...BUT keep reading!

๐‘ณ๐’๐’–๐’Š๐’† (8 y/o, "senior," male Chihuahua) & ๐‘ช๐’‚๐’“๐’•๐’Š (not-quite-2 y/o, female Shorkie) are a ๐๐Ž๐๐ƒ๐„๐ƒโ™พ๏ธ๐๐€๐ˆ๐‘ and ๐Œ๐”๐’๐“ ๐๐„ ๐€๐ƒ๐Ž๐๐“๐„๐ƒ ๐“๐Ž๐†๐„๐“๐‡๐„๐‘! Both are appear to be in good health except that they both need their nails trimmed up and Carti could use a good grooming. Combined, they don't even weight 20 pounds! Carti is the more outgoing of the two, demanding attention, and certainly not camera shy unlike King Louie who rather dislikes photos ๐Ÿ˜… BOTH are cuddly sweethearts! Good with other dogs & kids of all ages, but kitties are unknown (we think they'd be ok!).

THIS WEEK ONLY - ๐Ÿ˜๐€๐ƒ๐Ž๐๐“๐ˆ๐Ž๐ ๐…๐„๐„๐’ ๐€๐‘๐„ ๐–๐€๐ˆ๐•๐„๐ƒ๐Ÿ˜ thanks to the ASPCA having granted our non-profit partner, Friends of Staunton Augusta Waynesboro Animal Shelter additional funds that take care of medical needs, such as spay/neuter, vaccines, etc. Both will be fully vetted as part of our adoption process!
