Labor Day Holiday Hours & Pet Safety Tips ๐พ
In observance of Labor Day, our office will be closed on Monday, September 7.
As you enjoy the holiday with family and friends, don't forget about your furry family members! While Labor Day often marks the unofficial end of summer, the heat is still very real. Here are a few tips to help keep your pets safe throughout the holiday weekend:
๐ง Provide plenty of fresh, cool water and access to shaded areas to help keep your pets comfortable in the heat.
๐ฅ Keep pets away from hot grills, fire pits, and ovens, as these can cause serious burns.
๐ Even when temperatures begin to cool, parked cars can quickly become dangerously hot. Never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle.
๐ Holiday gatherings often include foods that are toxic to pets. Avoid sharing foods containing grapes, raisins, onions, chocolate, xylitol, alcohol, and other harmful ingredients.
๐ If fireworks are still being used in your area and your pet experiences noise anxiety, be sure to have any prescribed medications on hand before the festivities begin.
๐ฆบ If you and your pet are enjoying time at the lake, pool, or on a boat, consider using a properly fitted life jacket for added safety.
We wish you and your family a safe, happy, and relaxing Labor Day!
