BRISKET WAS ADOPTED!!! 🥹🤍

Our little cattle dog mix who was growing up in rescue officially has a family of his own.

We watched Brisket grow, learn, play, and wait for someone to finally choose him. His brother Pork found his home first, and we kept telling Brisket his turn was coming.

Well… IT CAME. 🏡🐾

No more adoption posts. No more waiting. Brisket is HOME.

Happy life, sweet boy. This is exactly why we do what we do.

From rescued in Bakersfield to forever loved. 🤍

He was recently surrendered to us and is officially ready to start looking for the family who will be his forever.

🚨 48 HOURS TO KEEP KIMMI OUT OF A KENNEL 🚨

Kimmi came to us completely shut down. She had been abused, and when she first entered foster, she didn’t know how to just… be a dog.

Her foster has done an incredible job showing her that people can be safe. She’s learning to play. She’s learning to cuddle. She’s learning that affection doesn’t have to be scary. She’s still a little clumsy with all of it, but watching her come out of her shell has been incredible.

Now, because of an unexpected emergency, her foster can no longer keep her and Kimmi needs placement within the next 48 hours.

We desperately do not want her going back into a kennel. For a dog who started out this shut down, losing the safety of a home environment could be incredibly detrimental to the progress she has made. She needs a family willing to let her decompress all over again and earn her trust at her own pace.

Kimmi is:
🐾 3 years old
🐾 Spayed + fully vaccinated
🐾 Dog friendly and would do best with another dog(s)
🐾 Tiny — about the size of a Frenchie
🐾 Not aggressive in any way
🐾 Learning to play, cuddle and understand personal space
🐾 Making great progress with potty training when given regular access outside

Her ideal home is quiet, patient and experienced with fearful or previously abused dogs, with a securely fenced yard with tall fencing. She needs gentle boundaries, consistency and someone who understands that trust isn’t built overnight.

She does NOT need someone to “fix” her.

She needs someone willing to give her the time and safety to keep becoming the dog she was always supposed to be.

48 hours. Please help us keep Kimmi out of a kennel. Foster or adopt. 🤍

Monster is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu mix who is officially ready for his next chapter.

He came to us needing cherry eye surgery, and look at him now — healed beautifully and feeling good. ✨

🐾 Fully recovered from cherry eye surgery
