Lifetime Aquarist

10/21/2024

I am looking for pond snails, specifically- the genus 'Radix', or commonly called the 'ear snail'. They are common and many folks have them in their aquariums. You can identify them as they are significantly larger than bladder snails and have large antenna. In aquariums, with fish, the large adults tend to not survive, but smaller snails will. If you've noticed an occasional pond snail that gets abnormally large- I would like to trade you for a few. I am in Lane County, OR.

I use this page & X to share the days my fishroom is open to the public, which will be opening this fall. I offer several varieties of neocaridina, killifish, and keep one of the largest collections of aquarium plants on the West Coast. You are welcome to call me my aquaria family if curious about the products I keep.
