Experienced Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician
Full-Time | Monday–Thursday | No Weekends, Evenings, or Holidays

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or
Veterinary Technician to join our team! Our clinic offers a positive, uplifting work environment where teamwork, compassion, and patient care are highly valued.
This is a fast-paced, physically demanding position, but it is also incredibly rewarding. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and can maintain a positive attitude while getting the job done. Salary Range: $18.00 - $21.00 / hr. (starting hourly rate depends on experience and skillset)

Position Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
• Full-time availability Monday–Thursday
• Ability to begin shifts promptly at 6:45 AM
• Proficient in veterinary medical terminology
• Experience with anesthesia and patient monitoring
• Skilled in patient recovery
• Proficient in IV, SQ, and IM injections
• Confident and compassionate animal handling skills
• Ability to stand and remain active for up to 10 hours
• Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions

• Self-motivated and willing to take initiative

• Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on clinical environment

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the sad news that our fearless lead and founder of LPAH, Mary has passed away.

Mary was an incredible force for animals and made a lasting impact on rescue efforts throughout Lee County, NC. Her dedication, compassion, and tireless work helped save countless lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and worked alongside her.

We are committed to continuing LPAH that Mary and her husband, Ed worked so hard to build. We believe the best way to honor her legacy is to carry on the mission she cared so deeply about.

At this time, we are currently seeking two-week temporary foster homes with no other pets to help some of the animals Mary and Ed lovingly cared for. If you can open your home for just 14 days, please complete an application at LPAH.org/foster.
