No fooling here, Archer is truly the cat's pajamas!

This super silky, sweet, young gentleman loves to perch on high and head bonk his favorite volunteers when they enter his room. Archer can be a little hesitant when he first meets folks, but his shyness melts away quickly as soon as he knows lots of pets and cuddles are available.

Archer would do best in a quiet home so he can settle into a new routine with his forever family. He needs to be on a special urinary diet because he has a history of blockages, but in the grand scheme of things, a little special kibble is nothing compared to the many, many years of love and adoration Archer has in store for you!

Archer requires an indoor-only home, and would likely do best as a solo artist in an adult home or a family with older, cat-savvy kids. He gets along pretty well with his current roommate, T-bone, so joining a household with another chill feline may be just fine.

Meet Cafeto!

Cafeto is a six-year-old red Aussie mix. He is neutered and fully vaccinated.

Cafeto came from a shelter in Mexico, where he was dropped off as a puppy and languished for six years.

Coming to the ranch about a month ago, he has really come out of his shell and will go up to strangers for pets. He is a slow-moving dog, and his vibe is more that of a seasoned older gentleman than a six-year-old!

This sweet boy would prefer to be the only dog in the house, lie by the fire, and wander around your yard. If you’re looking for a gentle older dog, Cafeto is your boy!

Just look at those baby blues!

Meet Phyllis, a stunning, sweet, and social gal. Phyllis is confident in new places and loves a round of play time with a feather toy. Once the fun is over, she just wants to curl up next to a warm lap to be doted upon with pets and cuddles.

Phyllis would be a great match for a quiet, indoor-only home. She would likely do well in a home with another cat. This girl loves company, whether two-legged or four-legged!

Aisling got a new bench in her room, and it's quickly become her favorite place for pets, getting brushed with her prized big white brush, and hanging out with her favorite volunteers.

Meet Carmelita, a lucky little lady ready for her forever family! ☘️

Carmelita was abandoned as a three-month-old puppy at a building site. It was the rainy season in Mexico, everything was wet and muddy, and poor Carmelita spent days begging the not-so-friendly builders for scraps of food.

A man who ran a dog boarding kennel happened to walk past and took Carmelita in – his own business was folding due to the lack of clients, and he had to move to another city, but he could not leave Carmelita to fend for herself.

For weeks, he tried to rehome her – to no avail – given Mexico's low dog adoption rates and high levels of abandonment. He called a good friend, who told him there was an American woman with dementia who had a shelter in a nearby town and that it was closing down, but to try his luck.

How could anyone turn Carmelita down? Of course, even if the shelter is in crisis and closing down, Carmelita was taken in.
Carmelita is the most loving, gentle dog out there. She will make anyone’s heart melt. Before she flew to Seattle, she saw that her fellow rescue Milo was struggling to adjust to non-shelter surroundings, and she’s been showing him the way, guiding him to trust people and, above all, to have fun together. These two are a perfect pair; they will bring you lots of joy. Ideally, we would like them to be adopted together, however Carmelita is not as attached to Milo as Milo is to her.

She has gone on a couple of field trips and does not pull on the leash; she just wants to smell all the smells. She is incredibly sweet and loves to be cuddled. She gets along with all the dogs at the ranch; however, she will let another dog know through a low growl if she doesn't want to interact. She has never been aggressive toward any dogs at the ranch.
