Vancouver is about to get a dog wash with dog b**r, dog tequila, salon-quality cologne, a self-serve marketplace, and absolutely nobody standing behind a counter.
And somehow, the dog wash might not even be the weirdest part.
Theo’s Self Serve Dog Wash is getting very close to opening, and this whole thing has grown into a lot more than just a place to rinse off a muddy dog.
The idea from the beginning was simple: make dog washing easier, make the experience better, stay open later, and build something that actually feels useful to local dog owners.
So the entire place is self serve.
When you walk in, the kiosk is your starting point. You can see how the wash works, check pricing, learn about Theo’s Pack memberships, browse what’s available in the Grab & Go Market, find local dog adventures, discover other pet-friendly businesses through the Blue Tie Network, leave feedback, and figure out what you need without waiting for somebody behind a counter.
No appointment required.
No awkward scheduling.
No trying to convince your dog that Tuesday at 2:15 was somehow the only available option.
Come in during open hours, and if the wash is available, you’re good to go.
The wash itself is an Evolution self-serve system with shampoo, flea & tick shampoo, conditioner and blow dry included.
And if your dog deserves the full spa treatment — or just smells especially questionable — we’ll have Hydra grooming products available in the Grab & Go Market.
Hydra is professional salon-quality grooming stuff, and the colognes were one of the easiest decisions we made.
They smell ridiculously good.
Not “somebody sprayed perfume on a wet dog” good.
Actually-good, just-left-the-groomer, why-does-my-dog-smell-better-than-I-do good.
We’ll have several scents available, along with premium shampoos and finishing products if you want to upgrade the wash a little.
Then there’s the Grab & Go Market.
Treats, toys, grooming supplies, drying towels, premium shampoos and colognes, dog drinks, seasonal stuff, things you forgot at home, and things your dog absolutely did not need but somehow talked you into buying anyway.
We’re also starting something of our own.
Theo’s Treats.
We’re starting with simple, high-quality treats like freeze-dried beef lung, but that’s just the beginning. Over time, we want to keep growing Theo’s own lineup with products we actually like and feel good about putting our name on.
And yes.
There will be dog b**r.
There will be dog tequila.
There will probably be other ridiculous things later because apparently this is who we are now.
For people who want even more flexibility, Theo’s Pack members will have extended access from 6 AM–10 PM, while regular walk-in hours will be 8 AM–8 PM.
And we’re trying to build something beyond the four walls too.
Dog Adventures will help local dog owners find parks, trails, swimming spots, dog-friendly patios and other places around Southwest Washington to explore with their dogs.
The Blue Tie Network will help connect people with other great local pet businesses and services.
And we’re working toward partnerships with local rescues, foster organizations and community groups so Theo’s can support more than just the dogs walking through the front door.
That’s really what Theo’s has turned into.
A dog wash, yes.
But also a place to discover stuff, find local resources, spoil your dog a little, and hopefully build something useful for the dog community around here.
We’re putting the finishing touches on everything now.
Opening very soon.
So if you’re in Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, Battle Ground, Portland or anywhere nearby with a muddy, hairy, suspiciously smelly dog…
Follow the page.
Send this to your dog people.
And tell us something:
What’s one thing you wish a place like Theo’s carried, offered, or did that nobody else around here does?
We’re still building this thing.
And we’re listening.
