⚠️ PET OWNER ALERT: ADEQUAN® RECALL ⚠️
We wanted to make our clients aware of a nationwide recall involving specific lots of Adequan® Canine and Adequan® i.m. for horses.
American Regent, Inc. Animal Health has voluntarily recalled four specific lots after visible glass fibers were found during testing of retained product samples. The FDA published the recall notice on August 3, 2026. Importantly, no adverse events related to these recalled lots had been reported at the time of the announcement. Adequan® Canine — RECALLED LOTS
• Lot 3369 — Exp. 10/31/2026
• Lot 25011 — Exp. 12/31/2027
This would have been administered in clinic or send home between the dates of April 2025 through July 2025.
What should you do?
If you have Adequan at home, please check the lot number on your product before using it. If your product matches one of the recalled lots, DO NOT administer it.
Injecting a product containing particulate matter such as glass fibers could potentially cause injection-site irritation, swelling, inflammation, pain, infection, or abscess formation. (U.S. Food and Drug Administration)
If your dog or cat has received Adequan from one of these lots and you have concerns or have noticed a reaction, please contact your veterinarian.
💙 A recall does not mean that all Adequan products are affected. This recall applies specifically to the four lot numbers listed above.
