Hot sauce taste testing with Farmer Heating Up and Pepper Song Hot Sauce

Pepper Palooza was a blast! Patrick made some super tasty roasted pepper dip, we enjoyed the rainbow of peppers and all got to try lots of hot sauces!

Shiitake mushrooms logs are doing great! We inoculated these alder logs last spring and got our first big harvests this year.

We took a class with WSU Clark County Extension
On small farm shiitake production and it was super helpful! Definitely recommend it if youre thinking of growing your own.

Farm boxes from the last 2 weeks- week 18 and 19 of 2026

This week we had:
-tasty Charentais melons from Heath Pearson
-bok choi
-cape gooseberries aka golden berries
-red onions (rossa di Milano and flat of italy)
-sweet peppers
-cooking greens mix with kale, collards, Napa, komatsuna, and chard

Last weeks feature:
-sweet corn from @ Malinda and Saras farmstand
-apples
-salad mix for our farm and Harvest Moon
-cucumbers
-lemon verbena

Found some gems this weekend in the forest-
CHANTERELLES!!!

Mmmmmm! Biggest find weve ever had, lots to go around! Hmu if you're interested.

Also some fun other mushrooms we spotted during our woodland wander, a lemony scented bolete with slug included at no charge, huge Russulas, and what Kelly calls boobie mushrooms (variety unknown) 🤣
