We are on a very quiet area, and Ranger was enjoying some off-leash time. Notice how close he is to me while off leash. The training never ends 👏🏼

Yes, I train dogs and owners for a living..
yes… I still allow my dog and clients to have fun 👏🏼💙

Training for the lifestyle you live, and allowing your dog to have it all is what it is all about.

Ranger clearly wanted to play with me, I allow it. Watch how he handles the situation.
Notice when I go and grab the leash, Ranger stops instantly. He knows what is allowed and what’s not.

This mindset is what I look for when working with dogs.
He wants to have fun, however he wants to listen to me more, which is ALSO very fun for him!!

PSA: LEAVE WORKING DOGS ALONE.

If a dog is CLEARLY working with its handler, back off and be respectful. If it’s a service dog, you wouldn’t approach it (or shouldn’t) and if it’s someone’s pet, you also shouldn’t approach it.
99% of the time when dogs are approached , their body language is asking for people to back off.
Advocate for your dog and please encourage people to stop interfering with your animal.

I shouldn’t have to go into this further however it is a daily occurrence.
If there is a handler trying their best to work with their dog to have the best life they can, stop jumping in and ruining the training taking place.
