JJ & Tetsu said the trail isn’t going to walk itself.
A little sunshine, a little exploring, and two very enthusiastic adventure buddies leading the way. Just another good day with the ‘Ohana! Thank you Lanie! [📸 P.C.: Lanie] 🤗

Meet our newest fur friend, Olive, the sweetest 13-year-old Papillon who has completely stolen our hearts. And can we please talk about that little tongue?! She’s missing a few teeth, so it has a mind of its own and we wouldn’t have it any other way. 😂 Senior pups are just so special! Welcome to the ‘Ohana! 💕🐾

As Summer creeps in, it’s important to remember that our dogs don’t handle heat the same way we do. Even a walk that feels comfortable to us can quickly become dangerous for them. Save this guide for the next warm day and use it to help decide whether it’s time for a walk, a shorter potty break, or a cozy day indoors.

A few extra tips:
🐾 Test the pavement with the back of your hand for 7 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws.
💧 Always bring fresh water.
🌳 Stick to shaded routes whenever possible.
⏰ Walk early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the hottest part of the day.

At ‘Ohana Pet Sitters, your pets’ safety always comes first. If it’s too hot for a safe walk, we’ll adjust our visit to focus on potty breaks, indoor enrichment, playtime, and lots of love instead. Save this post for later and share it with a fellow dog parent! 💕🐾
