GOOD NEWS UPDATE: Operation was a resounding success!

Our beloved patient Suki is no longer facing euthanasia....she is home, happy, eating (and keeping food down!), gaining weight, and doing better than anyone expected! She looked like a million bucks at her recheck today.

Thanks to the incredible outpouring of support during our fundraiser, we were able to figure out the right medications she needed to control her regurgitation and megaesophagus, and treat her pneumonia.

Thank you for helping us save her life! This is a win we will cherish forever. ❤️💙💜💛

Operation had a busy day today!

Our incredible emergency and critical care colleagues from volunteered their time and expertise to come to the clinic and place a nasogastric tube today. This is so crucial for her body to get the nutrition it desperately needs. Thank you Megan Seekins and Tammy McCarty! You are our heroes!

Suki is still critically ill and needs intense medical care, so please keep those donations coming. Over $1500 has been raised so far - thank you!

Click the DONATE NOW button. Suki's campaign is the only active fundraiser at our clinic, and all proceeds are going to her case.

Unfortunately, we found out today that Suki has pneumonia. Her body is battling a serious chest infection without much reserve energy. She will need a lot of support in the days to come.

But, Suki is still fighting, and so are we! Flip to the end when she walks with a little pep in her step after getting her first nutrition via nasogastric tube. She hates the tube, but her body loves the nutrients! 😍

Hang in there, Suki. We're pulling for you.

Suki update: she ate a tiny bit this afternoon! Hopefully the medications we started today by IV are helping her feel better. She is home for the evening with her family, and will be back again tomorrow morning for continued care.

Background:
Suki is only 6.5 years old, and is facing euthanasia without intense medical intervention. She is regurgitating all food and water, and has lost almost 20 lbs.

Her family has already spent thousands on blood work, xrays, and hospitalization. They are looking at thousands more at a critical care facility for ultrasound, endoscopy, and feeding tubes to support Suki until the proper treatment can be found.

Up for adoption!
Sabrina is feeling great and ready for her forever home! She gets lots of love here at the clinic, but she would rather be at home with a forever family!

We've figured out her medical regimen: half a tablet once daily and prescription food keeps her skin condition at bay. And she's become a champ at taking her medication.

Reach out if youre interested! She only a year and a half old, and has so much life and love to give.

This moment brought to you by pet insurance. ❤️

Stormy was rescued from a hoarding situation as a kitten, with the assistance of Oregon Humane Society. When she was adopted, she came with a temporary pet insurance policy from that fortunately her new family decided to make permanent.

Shortly after adoption, she was diagnosed with FIP (feline peritonitis) and an enlarged heart. Without insurance, the cost of diagnostics and medication would have been out of reach for the average family: $14k. Without treatment, FIP is fatal.

With insurance, this amazing kitty was able to get the care she needed, and is in remission, with hope for a forever cure! She is looking forward to a long and healthy life with her family.

If you have a pet, we encourage you to get them covered with . The best time to do it is when they are healthy, as conditions that have been previously diagnosed typically won't be covered.

We celebrated with a big hug for Stormy. We are so thrilled to be part of her care journey!
