2 years ago we had quite a few unlikely best friend duos. It's either the old guy and the young pup or the very serious observer and the wiggle butt or maybe it's the sweet shy lady and the overly excited puppy that thrashes.

In any of these cases and many more we were surprised time and time again at how friendships form between our pack members, but we absolutely love seeing it! 🩵🧡

3 years ago was apparently our doppelganger year because this was only a snippet of the clones we had running a muck in daycare in 2023.

I'm not sure if it was the Mandela effect, a time rift, new time line or some timey whimey stuff, but they were popping up in pair, trios and quadruple.

5 years ago we made it through the worst of Covid and it was time to get back to business as usual, but the world wasn't as usual still.

A lot of people stayed working remote and so while we worked on in house numbers we wanted to keep dogs active both physically and mentally. Doing more enrichments regularly with the groups and letting our older veteran dogs help us even more with the newbies (Covid puppies/lockdown dogs) learning the ropes.

One thing that always kept on as usual thankfully was the love of the dogs both from staff, the customers and between the dogs themselves. It has always made everything worth it. 🩵🧡

6 year ago brought all new challenges with Covid. The year before we had a packed house every day now an epidemic was underway and we had to think about, not only what was best for the dogs, but how to make it safe and healthy for staff.

Luckily the state allowed us to remain open during this time and a big part because many of our customers were those on the front lines trying to keep people healthy and safe.

So while our staff and customers all practiced social distancing the dogs had no such boundaries and as always remained a close knit pack of friends through a difficult period in recent history.

7 years ago (2019) was when our numbers were going up quickly! It was exciting and we loved being able to have the dogs hanging out with each other in the play groups.

This was the year we really balanced play and self regulation in the group for all the dogs. Pretty much everyday we had a full house from open to mid-afternoon. Busy was our middle name.

While not pictured, our grooming was also hitting big numbers too with more and more doodle friends coming to us as clients.

8 years ago, we were 2 years into K9 to Five and the Doggy Daycare life; that's when we knew, this was it.

Marc and Kris had retired and this was a new adventure of a shared love of animals, but it was this year (2018) that solidified that this was the life we'd wanted from here on out.

Now we're 8 days from our 10th anniversary. It's had its up and downs, but we wouldn't trade anything for the last 10 years.
