Storm came to us through no fault of her own. This girl is a boxer/lab mix and is a bit shy at first. Then she zooms around and likes to play with balls. She is good with kids and most of our dogs. The vet said she could use a little exercise. Apps for her at vwchs.org/adopt

Recently we were selected by Midwest Electric for an $800 community grant. We use these fund to provide the community with spay and neuter vouchers for one of our many cat clinics we sponsor.

Year-to-date, we have helped over 800 cats get spayed and neutered in our community.

Pictures here is one of our kittens that was recently spayed.

We have a cat clinic coming up on Nov. 11 with Decatur vet. If you need a $20-off voucher, stop by the shelter and pick one up!

And thank you Midwest Electric for helping support this program!

This is just a plain brown dog right? No, nothing plain about unconditional love, bringing the ball back every time...and dropping it. Being excited to see you, or any staff member who takes her out. She treats them all like her bff. Trusting, and ready for what comes next. Shiloe is a young 9 yr old. Her drawbacks are other animals, kids under 15, and going down a staircase. (Not like back deck stairs)She may not be for you. But what if you share and someone sees her and adopts her, because you shared. And she gets a new forever home! Apps at vwchs.org/adopt
