🐾 IMPORTANT GROOMING POLICY UPDATE 🐾

At Prissy Paws, we believe in Humanity Over Vanity, and the health, safety, and comfort of every furbaby in our care will ALWAYS come first! ❤️

We want to let our wonderful clients know that we will be implementing an additional Severe Matting Fee of 50% of the regular grooming price for dogs requiring extensive mat removal or a complete pre-shave.

Why the additional charge?

When a dog comes in with severe matting, the grooming process becomes much more involved than a typical appointment.

✂️ We're essentially performing TWO haircuts! Severely matted dogs often require a complete pre-shave before they can even receive their bath. Once they're clean and dry, we still have the finishing grooming process to complete.

🐾 It requires additional time and patience. Severe matting can pull tightly against the skin, causing discomfort and sometimes pain. Our groomers must work slowly, carefully, and patiently to keep your baby as comfortable as possible.

⏰ It affects our grooming schedule. What would normally be a routine grooming appointment can take significantly longer, sometimes putting us behind on other scheduled appointments.

❤️ Your pet's comfort is our priority. We will NEVER put a dog through unnecessary pain or discomfort simply to save its coat. When matting is too severe to safely brush out, shaving is the most humane option.

We understand that matting happens, and this policy is absolutely NOT meant to shame or criticize any pet parent. Our goal is simply to ensure that our groomers are fairly compensated for the additional time, labor, and specialized care required.

Minor tangles and normal brushing are NOT subject to the severe matting fee. Additional charges will apply when extensive matting requires significant extra grooming work.

Thank you for understanding, supporting our groomers, and trusting us with your precious furbabies! 🐩💕

Because at Prissy Paws, humanity will always come before vanity! 🐾
