Hey everyone, just a quick note. With the impending bad weather please provide your horses with plenty of hay and warm water to keep that GI tract moving. We also encourage you to have a few doses of banamine on hand for those storm or dehydration induced belly aches. When the temp is very cold the air is dry requiring more water intake. On another note give a call as soon as you can for spring work please, it looks to be crazy busy for all of us. Stay safe and keep warm, Dr Jerry and Pam. 219 771 4107

Good morning, Just so everyone is aware health papers can only be issued if we have seen your horse recently. They are good for 30 days so if it's been awhile and you are traveling we need to find a time to get together for an exam. This is a state regulation. Hope you have a great summer and wonderful show/ camping season! Dr Jerry and Pam

Hi everyone, with the coming storm Dr Jerry
has a couple reminders, please provide your horses with plenty of warm water to help prevent impaction colic as well as plenty of hay to keep the GI tract moving and maintain body heat. The impending storm may be severe with very cold temperatures and heavy snow. If this storm comes as predicted, please keep yourselves and all your animals safe. Having banamine on have is a good idea in case we are all snowed in. Take care and have a Great Holiday weekend!! Merry Christmas!
Pam
