If we don’t stay rooted in God’s Word and eternal promises, it’s easy to fall into the trap of health-and-wealth “prosperity” Gospel, casting God as more of a genie and less of a Good Father. We may choose to follow Him and things may not get better or go our way. If we stay humble at the foot of the Cross, we can remain in the heart posture that even if things don’t go well or as we had hoped or prayed for, God is still good.

As we start our week of showing tomorrow, no matter how things shake out, whether we come home empty handed or with shoulders full of roses, God is still good. His mercy is enough. The Cross is enough. Our salvation is enough. And from an earthly perspective— just being here with our equine partners is MORE than enough.

God never said the weapon wouldn’t form—just that it wouldn’t prosper.

As we head into Nationals this week, we want to carry that promise with us. There may be nerves, unexpected challenges, tough rides, or moments that don’t go exactly as planned. But whatever comes our way, we can stand firm knowing that God is on our side.

Our victory isn’t dependent on a ribbon, a score, or an outcome. God is still good. God is still faithful. And He is still with us.

So this week, we’re choosing faith over fear, trust over worry, and gratitude for every opportunity we’ve been given.

Whatever happens, we know Who goes before us. 🤍

No weapon formed against us will prosper.

Today’s lessons the kids learned out of the saddle after their rides: why GOOD farrier care is so important and what it entails, how to deworm and why parasite management is crucial to good nutrition, dumping and scrubbing buckets, and— the most important— behavior signals and why context for them is key!

We are SO much more than just riding around here. Regardless of your age, experience level or discipline, we take on a whole-horse approach. Our students are so dedicated to their education both in the saddle and in the barn and it makes a huge difference in our culture around the barn.

Blessed as always! Happy Saturday, friends!

THANKFUL! For our people who have partnered with us in prayer from day one of this journey. For every person who has believed in the vision, encouraged us, and prayed alongside us as we’ve watched this dream begin to take shape.

Our prayer has always been bigger than a barn. We want to see this place become a space where people encounter Jesus through the horses, the lessons, the relationships, and the community God is building here.

We are so thankful for every person who has helped bring this dream to fruition—and we trust that the One who began a good work will be faithful to carry it on to completion.

Thank you for being part of the journey. We can’t wait to see what God does next. 🐴🤍

Three things we’re VERY excited to have in the new barn 👀🐴

1️⃣ An indoor arena — because good training shouldn’t be at the mercy of the weather. ☔️☀️

2️⃣ 12x12 matted stalls — more space, more comfort, and a little easier on everyone’s legs. 🤍

3️⃣ A hot & cold wash rack — because after a good workout, our horses deserve a little spa treatment. 🛁✨

We’ve dreamed about this barn for a long time, and seeing these details come together makes it feel REAL. We can’t wait to share more of the new space with you! 🐴🏡

The case came across my desk sometime after breakfast.

A suspicious-looking pellet.
A very full feed room.
And one question:

What exactly is Forage First GS doing in the bucket? 🕵️‍♀️

After some digging, we found the usual suspects:

Exhibit A: Mineral Complex
Helps buffer stomach acid and support a healthy gastric pH.

Exhibit B: Lecithin
Supports the stomach’s natural protective lining.

Exhibit C: Chicory Root
Provides pectin + inulin to support digestive health.

The evidence suggests this isn't some magic powder with a flashy alibi. It's a gastric-support supplement designed to be one piece of a bigger equine nutrition program.

And around here, we don't build a case around one suspect.

Forage. Feed. Supplements. Management. The individual horse.
Every piece matters.

Case status: ACTIVE.
Investigation ongoing. 🔎

Ephesians 4:1 reminds us that we are called to walk worthy of the calling we have received.

And that applies in the barn, too. 🐴

Horse training is about so much more than teaching a horse to perform. It’s about patience, discipline, consistency, faith, and being willing to put in the work—even when the progress isn’t obvious.

The same God who calls us to something also calls us to walk it out faithfully.

When we step into the arena, into the barn, or into the work God has placed in front of us, we should be able to say:

“We are TRULY walking in what God is calling us to do.”

Not just talking about it.
Not just dreaming about it.
But faithfully putting in the work, one ride, one lesson, and one day at a time.

Storm Update:

Our horses are all doing just fine & are high and dry. We did lose a few fences, which have since been repaired. Power at the barn has been restored as of 8p on Tuesday. God truly had His hand on both of our properties!

Due to our arena flooding, hazardous road conditions/closures, lack of power in most of the community and fuel scarcity, we will be pausing lessons for today and tomorrow. Morgan’s cell service has been spotty at best since yesterday, so she will be working with everyone over the next couple of days to get lessons rescheduled.

Don’t travel if you don’t have to, check on your neighbors and lend a hand where you can. 🩷 A reminder that God’s grace is sufficient and His Power is made perfect in our weakness, so let’s all take things one day at a time. 2 Cor. 12:9
