October is National Pit Bull Awareness Month! 🐾🩷

This month is all about celebrating pit bull type dogs, challenging stereotypes, and reminding us to see each dog for who they are as an individual. These dogs can be goofy, loving, playful, cuddly, energetic, and everything in between. Their personalities are what make them special, and there’s so much more to them than a label or appearance.

For many veterans, pets, service dogs, and emotional support animals can provide companionship, comfort, and a sense of connection while navigating challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and the transition back to civilian life.
