Amanda Kennedy "Mrs. Mandie" worked at a doggie daycare for 3 years, a veterinarian office for 1, and a k9 training facility for 2 years. When Mandie's husband became unwell she decided to work from home t
o also take care of her husband and their daughter, thus creating Mandie's Doggies. Mandie's Doggies is a family oriented dog camp for well behaved dogs, not aggressive towards children, dogs, other animals including cats, not aggressive over food, toys, kennel, possession, etc. The Kennedy Family has 5 dogs: (R.I.P. Chopper, who passed away in 2022) old man Rocko, Linky, Savannah, Bolt, and Hank; 2 cats; 3 ponies; rabbits; and the fabulous Smokey the pig. Here at Mandie's Doggies your dog will be treated with love by this little family farm. This is meant to be a safe environment and stress free for well behaved dogs to enjoy themselves. With that said, we do have several regulations before your dog can become a camper here. Dogs must be well behaved, non destructive, non-aggressive. The stalls are 4ft X 4ft, so jumpers/climbers are not allowed. Dogs need to be social with others, no behavioral issues (absolutely no aggression towards humans, kids, dogs, cats, or other animals, no kennel aggression, no aggression over food, toys, or possessions). Dogs MUST be up to date on rabies, distemper parvo, and Bordetella vaccines; and MUST be on flea and tick prevention! If boarding and older than a year, your dog needs to be spayed or neutered. Mandie" teaches basic obedience to the owners and to the dogs. We offer a boarding/training program that is only a week long, therefore the owner needs to keep up the training at home.
