Not only is it another super busy October weekend, but it’s also a 3-former foster dog weekend!! Bryson, Willow and Lucy were all “mine” for a little while until they found their wonderful forever families. I love that I get to have them back for a bit while their families are on vacation!

Looks like the table is set for Thanksgiving! That means we are FULL… and not just with food but with kennel space! Existing clients only can be placed on a waitlist for Thanksgiving! (Please know though that waitlist spots rarely move on holidays.)

Good morning!
I just wanted to take a moment to explain what I have come to realize is a point of confusion among many folks!
Grateful Dog Kennels, LLC is my business and career. This is a dog boarding kennel where I provide overnight care for my clients’ dogs when those clients need to go out of town. There is a nightly fee. I have a few girls that work for me part-time that earn an hourly wage.
Grateful Paws Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster based dog rescue that I volunteer for. I, along with a few other fellow dog lovers in Medina County, founded the organization in 2018. We have a board of trustees, of which I am the president. Grateful Paws is 100% run by volunteers, so any money or donations that come in go directly to the dogs.
Donating to Grateful Paws Rescue has NOTHING to do with giving money to Grateful Dog Kennels!
Hopefully this helps clarify the confusion… that I realize exists thanks to my involvement in both and the similarity of the names!

No one wants to come in on this beautiful night (myself included!) so extra evening playtime it is! These pups are going to be tired out!

At an hour when a lot of kennels would just be having their staff clock in for the day, the dogs here have already gone out to go potty, eaten breakfast, gone out to potty again, napped for an hour, and are now out for their first play session of the day.

Sky is running circles, quite literally, around the boys this morning, who apparently are still a bit tired! Happy Monday from our first morning playgroup!
