🍽️🐾 Do you know how many calories your pet needs each day? Measuring their food with a cup isn't always enough. To make sure your furry friend is getting the right amount of food, calculate their daily caloric needs.

Use a dog or cat calorie calculator to determine the number of calories they require, and then measure their food accordingly.

🐶🐱 Divide that amount into two or three meals and don't forget about treats. Treats should only make up 10% of your pet's daily calorie intake, so be mindful of their snack consumption.

😿 As much as you love these yummy nuts, they can be TOXIC to dogs and cause hind leg weakness, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you think your pup has ingested macadamia nuts and is showing unusual signs, rush them to the vet immediately!👀🚑

❤️ We love our feline friends, and want to keep them healthy and happy. Although cats are atypical hosts for heartworms, the consequences of infection can be severe. Heartworm-associated respiratory disease (HARD) can cause coughing, increased respiratory effort, and vomiting that resemble feline asthma.

Additionally, heartworms can cause blood clots, leading to sudden paralysis of one or both hindlimbs. Stay vigilant and protect your cat's health by taking preventative measures!

🌺🐈 Cat owners, beware of lilies! These plants can cause kidney failure in cats and are less dangerous to dogs but can still cause stomach issues.

👀 All parts of the plant are believed to be toxic if ingested, and prompt veterinary attention is necessary. If you suspect your pet has come into contact with lilies, don't wait for symptoms to appear—contact your vet right away.
