🐾 Help Us Keep Families Together 🐾
No one should have to choose between a safe place to sleep and their beloved pet.
As a donation site for , we are working with Interfaith to help support families experiencing homelessness and their furry family members. To help keep them united, we are asking for donations of dog kennels and crates (all sizes) to help safely house pets with their families in the shelter. New or used kennels/crates and dog food is always appreciated. Pets and their families being able to co-habituate in the shelter reduces stress and trauma of separation, and provides comfort and companionship during a difficult time. Please drop off your donations at our store or contact us to coordinate pick-up while delivering your hay.

Really well-written article about how and why horse’s are designed to frequently eat forage (hay) as their primary diet. They are grazers. Only feeding twice a day, with long periods of no hay in between, is not good for horses. Horses need to consume 1.5% - 3% of their body weight daily in quality hay (forage). For a 1,000 lbs horse, this is 15–30 lbs of hay per day, depending on their weight/body condition. A forage-based diet supports their gut/GI tract health, their mental well-being, and their natural grazing instincts. If you want to understand feeding from the perspective of the horse and how their digestive system is designed, this is an informative, easy read.

Horses evolved to eat frequent, small roughage meals throughout the day, so why do we only feed them twice?
