Volume up…watching her react to the sounds around us was super sweet. Hatched this girl 3 years ago. She is showing such nice color.

He still isn’t eating much on his own, but is doing a great job of taking the critical care. Also, he is super active and behaving like “normal” aka running to hide in the nearest crevice when I walk in the room 😅😅😅 so that’s hope inducing. I gave him a soak and clean out his lizard bu****le 😅 (couldn’t remember how to spell the technical term lol). Fingers are still crossed 🤞🏽👏🏽

10 days old and I’m soooooo 🥹🥹🥹 dismantled their bin
after not seeing them for 4 days because I’m also hella nervous 😅😅😅

To be fair I was gone for 3 of the the four days for the Sacramento Reptile Show 😂

Sacramento Reptile Show stoked to see y’all today. Come say hi 👏🏽👏🏽

Sacramento Reptile Show can’t wait to see y’all! Thinking about making this my last show of the year…I’m exhausted 😅. Come hangout, this may be your last chance of the year to grab an enclosure in-person.

I hatched U. Yemenensis for the second time 😁. I’m on a very short list of folks in the US (like less than 10 folks maybe) that have successfully breed and hatched out Yemenensis Uromastyx.

This clutch was a hard one! For the second season in a row this particular girl laid her eggs outside the lay box. When I found them they were in BAD shape, with the likely hood of any of them making it super low. I managed to salvage one of the eggs…fighting mold and my obsessive want to open the incubator everyday to check the egg 😅.

Definitely keeping this little one, adding to my crew of hold backs from 3 years ago that I’ve been raising up. I keep my breeding to a minimum, usually focusing on just one clutch maybe two a season. Next year I’ll have two new Yemenensis girls reach maturity along with my crew of Ornatas.

With the continuous conflicts/war in their native ranges, working with U. Yemenensis feels important. We shall see what next season brings 😁🥹☺️ for now…I’m feeling super grateful for this little one.

If anyone has any tips for helping him post prolapse correction please share. Been trying to get him to eat critical care, tried his fav fruits and flowers. Worries he isn’t going to survive this.

Tap feeding with Jude, my young male Jeweled Lacerta, hatched in-house. Because most of my lacerta crew lives outside, interacting with them can be hit and miss. Tap feeding makes it easier to gain their trust and inspect them for any potential health issues.

As we enter the hottest part of our year in the Bay Area, it’s important that I stay on top of monitoring my outdoor crew’s health and the ways the heat may be affecting them.
