Day 1 of the 2026 GBC OKTOBERFEST! 🇩🇪 🌿 🍻 is in the books!

And, MY OH MY ... what a kick off party!

The German b**r releases were flowing. The Woodstack BBQ Tavern Schnitzel and German menu was DOPE. And the Johnny Koenig Band ... well ... what else can we say about him that we haven't already?!?

No better band IN THE WORLD to start a Oktoberfest than those guys! They truly know how to !

Now ... onto Day 2!

We open at noon. Kraken's Release opens up the live music at 1 p.m., Woodstack BBQ Tavern starts serving at 4 p.m. and The Johnny Koenig band takes the stage to close out the second day of our four-day event at 6 p.m.!

Will you be here?!? We sure hope so!

And don't forget, we have included TWENTY-TWO Downtown Valdosta Main Street businesses in this year's Oktoberfest - and their specials start today! (Check out the comments below for the full list of participating businesses and their deals!)

Also ... we have secured TIPSY TRANSIT to trolley you around town to the different spots! So hop on and hop off each stop!

We also have several NEW vendors here today on Day 2, too!

Everything kicks off today when our doors open at 4 pm, and no doubt one of the stars of the show this week are the German b**rs we brew and release every year JUST for this event.

So without further ado, meet this year's 2026 GBC OKTOBERFEST! 🇩🇪 🌿 🍻 lineup, all of which are available in these beautiful 2026 Visit Valdosta/GBC OKtoberfest Commemorative Glasses:

🇩🇪 ST. HELEN'S OKTOBERFEST MARZEN L***R - Traditional German-style Oktoberfest l***r featuring a beautiful copper-amber color, a rich, toasted malt character, and a smooth, clean finish. Notes of freshly baked bread, biscuit and subtle caramel sweetness are balanced by a mild hop bitterness. Medium-bodied, crisp, and exceptionally drinkable, Märzen is the quintessential Oktoberfest b**r, perfect for filling a stein and raising a toast to the best time of the year!

🇩🇪 EIN PROSIT HEFEWEIZEN - Traditional German-style wheat b**r known for its hazy, golden appearance, fluffy white head, and refreshing, smooth character.
